Louis Vuitton is seeking a Logistics Manager to work from our New York City office. This position will ensure the efficient physical flows of products from Distribution Centers to point of sales and/or clients. Primary job duties include managing store relationships providing relevant and reliable information (delivery lead time, order follow up, etc) while providing immediate support regarding shipments and relaying store requests to the appropriate department. You will be responsible for activity continuity, proper traceability and according reporting, in addition to planning and executing tender process for logistics service providers. The Logistics Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all required documentation to support transportation flows, answer discrepancy reports and work with the warehouse on any parcel issues and monitor and validate transportation invoicing and close disputes with carriers.
Partnering with third party vendors to ensure timely and effecting transportation process, the Logistics Manager will also manage the billing process for the vendors. You will also coordinate with the Supply Chain team to calculate and place orders and follow up with the Distribution Center teams for their execution, in addition to working with IS&T to ensure all needed reports are triggered properly. The Logistics Manager will also work with the Finance department to simplify invoicing, payments and reconciliation processes for all vendors within the department.
We are eager to speak to individuals that possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in business, engineering or a related field with 5+ years of experience in a customer service related environment. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups, conditional statements) and experience with analyzing big datasets preferred. The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge of customs and Hazmat regulations to assist with clearance and shipment processes as needed. Experience with SAP, Power Query and Power BI are a plus, as is fluency in French.
