Position

The Logistics Manager oversees the logistics, foreign trade and after sales operations for Fendi South East Asia and Australia. To monitor the logistics processes, manage both inbound and export, reverse logistics flow with the aim to ensure that the functions are running efficiently and effectively to meet our operational requirements across SEAA.


Profile

Logistics Management

  • Oversee and control the logistics functions in the region (i.e. South East Asia and Australia)
  • Ensure consistency and prompt delivery performance in meeting operational requirements
  • Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates in coordination with headquarter
  • Manage timely processing and delivery of import shipments (documentation, status and arrival alerts...)
  • Manage export shipments, meeting demands for timeliness, invoicing, communication, inventory adjustment and financial reconciliation
  • Enhance communication and co-ordination with other departments in achieving business objectives
  • Ensure quality business objectives are met whilst operating at optimal cost efficiency
  • Ensure all operations adhere to trade laws, brand guidelines, and ISO requirements
  • Lead the team to continuously review and update the workflow and procedure in order to meet with the changes in Company and customer's requirements
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
  • Optimization of retail inventory and store replenishment process

Warehouse management

  • Oversee and control the 3PL warehouses operations in the region. 
  • Establish operational procedures for warehouse daily activities such as receiving, storing, issuing materials and distribution
  • Develop good practice and recommend improvements to promote warehousing efficiency, e.g. faster and better services at lower costs
  • Assume responsibilities for securing storage space for goods, ensuring efficient use of space and labour, and that the storage procedures complying with the safety guidelines
  • Maintain an effective cycle count and stocktaking system to achieve higher inventory accuracy
  • Ensure the warehouse operations comply with local legal requirements.
  • Provide direction and standard on the distribution functions.  Set operational guidelines and standards. Review and control its effectiveness and efficiency in meeting operational requirements

  • Coordinate with headquarter and Merchandising team regarding the distribution and management of slow movers and discontinued products         
  • Develop and participate in action plans to manage the slow movers, together with merchandising team   
  • Defective management
  • Define repair process and procedures
  • Ensure efficiency of spare part ordering process
  • Collaborate with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Any ad hoc projects/assignments related to new market expansion/new store opening

Key Requirements and Competencies

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in logistic; preferably in retail, consumer goods industry of which at least 3 years of experience in mid-managerial level
  • Degree holder in logistics and supply chain management or related disciplines
  • Hands-on proficiency with relevant WMS, After Sale, and Logistics software.
  • Articulate well and able to engage/present to senior stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and also collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Problem solver and timely decision making
  • Demonstrable knowledge of trade and customs regulations across the South east Asia and pacific regions
  • Experience in coordinating after sale service centers
  • Attention to details with good analytical skill
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
