To coordinate and oversee the effective management of the stockroom and team. To provide the link between the stock team, store team and store management
Developing the business in collaboration with management
> Propose and implement action plans to deliver efficient processes and organisation of the store.
> Contribute with proposals/initiatives and implementation of action plans to improve sales, minimise losses, and promote new products.
> Support store management in achieving the business objectives, projects and initiatives (i.e. reporting, sales analysis, buying sessions, product training).
Coordinating efforts in the stockroom
> Contribute to achieving and maintaining a positive team spirit, keeping team motivated to achieve targets.
> Maintain strong communication with both team and management, contributing to the sharing of information, processes, initiatives and ideas.
> Support the team in the stockroom in all areas of their responsibilities, providing them with coaching and guidance.
> Prepare and Conduct touchbases with the stock team members giving positive feedback and help focus on areas which need improving and provide the necessary training.
> Work on Stock Teams Rota ensuring the level of equality is maintained throughout the team aswell as being flexible to the teams requests.
> Assist in on the spot coaching and induction of new staff (and existing team members).
> To contribute to the smooth daily running of the stock room in conjunction with management including:
- Coordinating daily routine tasks
- Monitoring transfers, deliveries, replenishments and all stock movements
- Running and following up regular rotative inventories
- Promoting team productivity (e.g. sharing stock room tasks, ensuring coverage of the stock room)
- Ensuring good product care and good stock organisation in order to optimise sales and to avoid stock losses (shop soiled) and discrepancies
> Participate in opening and closing the store, cashing up/end of day procedures, and deputise for management when required.
> Be able to run best sellers report to provide information to management and also to work with VM to push slow selling lines
