Under the supervision of the FD, the MC will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial information is provided to the business in a timely manner, empowering management to maintain strong control. This role will support the business planning process, including the strategic plan, budgeting and regular forecasting. Setting-up the management controlling while identifying performance improvement and efficiency opportunities through clear and in-depth analysis. General >  Set-up / Implement management control (creation of reporting files, create specific reports with ERP provider) >  Provide a strong trusted financial partnership, by first securing the numbers, and then using your knowledge of the business to improve existing practices, and challenge the status quo. Reporting >  Prepare and publish IFRS management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) on a monthly basis >  Special emphasis on comprehension and analysis of the Margin overall and by channels >  Coordinate and direct the preparation of initial and revised financial forecasts and report variances >  Prepare Cash Flow forecasts & make loan proposals to Finance Director if need be >  Ensuring weekly and monthly reporting is produced in an accurate and timely manner. >  Liaising and challenging the Accounting team to ensure robust and accurate monthly reporting >  Analysing, questioning, and assisting in validation of the management reports Planning (budgets, Forecasts and Strategic plans) >  Contribute to the Global planning process to ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Group, including financial business partner to the various areas of responsibility, to ensure consistency to the global strategies >  Ensure that the Capital expenditure of the global business is kept within the budget framework Business Partnering >  Work and partner with the Head office teams (budget holders, directors) to drive cost efficiencies >  Ensure best business practise is being implemented around the various responsibility areas and internal processes are robust >  Work closely with logistic teams to monitor and check stock management Internal Control >  Work on finance processes and procedures to be in line with LVMH internal control expectations >  Maintain procedures / handover notes to ensure other team members can pick-up Other tasks >  Participation in stock takes (twice a year) >  Assist & help during statutory audit providing accruals back-up or business explanations when necessary. >  Take on any ad-hoc task or project in line with the needs of the business.


Education & Experience: >  Education: Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or Business school degree >  Experience: a minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience, preferably in a luxury fashion retail environment >  Software: in-depth knowledge of Excel; experience with SAP (or other significant ERP) >  Fluent written and spoken English, French is an advantage but not essential >  Strong analytical ability Person Specification: >  Good team player and ability to work on own with high levels of motivation >  Able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all internal and external customers >  Hands-on and results oriented approach >  Ability to maintain standards while working under pressure >  A proactive approach in tackling issues and ability to identify and implement solutions >  Excellent co-ordination and organisational skills
