The Manager of Global Store Design - Unassisted Selling collaborates with the Director of Global Visual Merchandising and Store Design to support in the development of all global store design direction, global fixture development, and prototype development for open-sell channels and unassisted environments. This includes assisting with the leadership and development of Store Design standards worldwide for their respective channels.  A critical responsibility includes partnering with global markets on adapting brand codes, fixture library and design guidelines to channel, reviewing shop layouts, shop/counter development and design, and local fixture execution.



Global Store Design

  • Collaborate with markets as a mentor and resource for maintaining excellence and consistency in branded store design for Sephora, Travel Retail and other open sell environments
  • Develop brand standards and elevated tools for Global store design for their respective channels
  • Partner with VP of Global VMSD to develop and implement a Design Manual for distribution to consultants and visual team
  • Establish global store opening templates, checklists and communication standards
  • Evolve store design elements to meet growing needs of the business

Store Design and Construction

  • Review region-driven shop layouts and designs for their respective channels, provide feedback and direction based off of Fresh Merchandising Standards
  • Develop working knowledge of brand identity and aesthetics, with strong attention to detail
  • Review shop drawings and red-line construction documents
  • Source new materials, samples and vendors to support local markets and global Merchandising developments
  • Track and update Global Store Design tracker maintaining schedule and budget

Vendor Coordination

  • Support the Industrialization team with RF/FRQ and brief development for all global accounts for their respective channels with fabricators, material suppliers, artisans, POSM vendors; partner to establish deliverables for vendors and ensure adherence to deliverables
  • Provide direction on vision to concept design for all vendors for their respective channels
  • Identify new vendors to provide cost-effective and innovative solutions for the brand

Special Projects

  • Partner and support Global Merchandising team with store experience and branding initiatives
  • Partner with Director of Global VM on the development of all Global Theater/Special Project campaigns for their channel; and support the rollout of new markets and new channel launches (directive development, store opening processes, sourcing, etc)

Additional information

  • Eight years in Project Management, Industrial Design or Architecture with a strong desire to grow and learn
  • Store knowledge and interest in retail design and fabrication/production
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams
  • Proven ability work autonomously but collaborate effectively
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites, Autocad, Sketchup and/or additional 3d rendering software and Microsoft programs required
  • Experience in luxury retail preferred
  • Strong team spirit with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for cosmetic retailing and entrepreneurial work environment
  • Must be able to travel; must be comfortable working atypical schedule to meet the needs of managing a global business, including international conference calls outisde of typical office hours
