Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Merchandise Manager based in our New York office that will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategy for Men's Ready-to-Wear across LVA. This role will create and review analysis of merchandise at store level and propose results-oriented actions, oversee all aspects of network expansion and communicate corporate strategies to the store network. The Men's Ready-to-Wear Merchandise Manager will evaluate and recommend store distribution, supervising product flow to stores, additionally acting as the LVA category expert, providing monthly qualitative, quantitative and competitive reports and market needs for Management and Paris Product Team.
The Merchandise Manager will partner closely with the Paris product team to advocate for the LVA markets, including the development and negotiation Open to Buy and annual trips to Paris to participate in buying sessions. Additionally, the Men's Ready-to-Wear Merchandise Manager will collaborate with Supply Chain to maximize sales and sell thru by regular business analysis and monthly forecasting, Client Development to identify opportunities to grow client base, Client Relations to execute and support in store events, Visual Merchandising to ensure appropriate product presentation, among other close partnerships within LVA.
The Merchandise Manager will ideally be an individual with a minimum of 5 years of retail merchandising or buying experience with focus in RTW at a Manager level, with strong product sensibility and deep knowledge of and passion for competitive landscape and trends. This role will best suit an individual with strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to understand and leverage both product and financial reports to drive business. Additionally, the Men's RTW Merchandise Manager will have strong negotiation, communication and influence skills, as well as exceptional computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
