PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

  • Delivering profitability of the business through supporting the Product Merchandising team
  • Effective & timely management of intake coming into the business
  • Analysing and reporting trade results across the business
  • Understands the brand and has a commercial awareness of competitors and the market

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Trading

  • Provide detailed Sales & Stock information at Category and line level including KPIs: Cover, turn, ROS, Mixes
  • Review weekly Trade with Merchandising team; investigate and propose actions focussed around Intake Management
  • Reviews Sales performance and department free stock in conjunction with AM, and works with Allocator to respond to sales reactions
  • Actions Pricing campaign on system as required with supervision from Line Manager

Planning

  • Support the Planning process through delivery of Sales Analysis as directed by Line Managers
  • Produce Analysis which supports Product decisions as part of the Planning Process
  • Actively takes part and inputs into Team Review & Strategy meetings
  • Actively seeks ways to improve team processes and ways of working

Stock Management

  • Responsible for liaising with Suppliers, DC & Buying to effectively manage delivery of stock into the business in line with the Critical Path and Stock Plans
  • Produce and maintain accurate Delivery and shipment records for all products using the appropriate systems
  • Ensures the system order is correct and at the right status before the delivery is given permission to ship/air/road
  • Manages intake through the DC until it is available to Allocate
  • Collaborate with DC / VM to achieve timely & optimum availability of stock each season
  • Support the Branch Merchandising Team with accurate Intake forecasts and management for new stores in order to maximize sales and create brand appropriate presentation
  • Support the Merchandising Team by producing ad hoc Analysis relating to Product Performance
  • Produce proposals for MD in order to effectively manage Terminal Stock
  • Work with the Allocators to plan initial allocations & ensure that stock & availability targets are met

Sizing

  • Produce Sizing Analysis as part of the review process, make recommendations from findings to feedback to Line Manager
  • Complete accurate Sizing of Buys in line with Critical Path requirements

Communication

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with ‘Internal Customer':
    • Allocators
    • DC
    • VM
    • Buying Peers
  • Conduct Weekly ‘Intake Update Meetings' with Buying Team to provide updates on Production and Deliveries
  • Establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with external Suppliers
  • Provide accurate and relevant information to the Branch Merchandising team for the Retail Weekly Communication
  • Visit Thomas Pink DC to inform stock movement decisions as needed
