Louis Vuitton is searching for a Merchandising Assistant based out of our New York City Office that will support the Leather Goods team with Hardsided, Exotics and Objets Nomades categories; in all aspects of managing the business in the Americas for a period of twelve months. Key aspects of the role include communication with store/regional teams, product tools creation, sales reporting, organization of stock flow, competitive analysis, and other administrative support for the team. The role will also closely partner with the Supply Chain, Logistics and Client Relations team for zone Events & category activations.
As an integral member of the Merchandising team, you will support the Merchandising Managers responsible for the High End Leather Goods business providing retail support, using product tools for product look books, event set up/recaps, launch plans, modelarios and look books. With strong analytical skills, you will partner with the Supply Chain team to manage HE Caravans to ensure timely and efficient movements of product to support event needs and will generate Excel-based sales reports that recap the business. Additionally, you will partner with Leather Goods associates to track price estimates, production, and shipment and will communicate status and delivery updates between Central counterparts to store teams. Other responsibilities may include working with various teams to provide product details and other general administrative tasks.
We are eager to speak to individuals with two years of experience in Merchandising or Client Relations, preferably in the retail industry, that have strong communication and organization skills. In addition, the ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong analytical abilities, such as gathering and analyzing sales data. You will have a self-motivated mentality, be highly driven, organized, proactive, and detail oriented with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines. Lastly, you have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while being able to manage priorities and collaborating with other areas of the business. Fluency in French is a plus.
