Louis Vuitton is searching for a Merchandising Assistant based out of our New York City Office that will support the Ready-to-Wear team in all aspects of managing the business in the Americas for a period of twelve months. Key aspects of the role include Trunk Show and selling event organization, Summit coordination, product tools creation, sales reporting and recaps, product request follow-up, sample management, competitive analysis and other administrative support for the team.
As an integral member of the Merchandising team, you will support the Merchandising Managers responsible for the Ready-to-Wear business creating lookbooks, order books and packing lists, coordinate sample delivery between Paris, corporate and stores and entering client orders during events. With strong analytical skills, you will work to provide recaps to the team and create PowerPoint presentations when needed and you will support in providing competitive analysis with monthly store performance recaps. Additionally, you will monitor overall sample inventory through Fashion GPS for training's and events while maintaining the sample closet, tracking of production and delivery, and communication on the status of each piece. You will also be responsible for improving the current reporting process to improve efficiency or creating new reports.
We are eager to speak to individuals with one to two years of experience in Merchandising or Financial Analysis, preferably in the retail industry, that have a strong product sensibility and knowledge of the competitive landscape with a passion for the luxury industry. In addition, the ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong analytical abilities, such as organizing, evaluating, and interpreting data. You will have a service-oriented mentality, be highly driven, organized, proactive, and detail oriented with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines and you will have exceptional communication skills. Lastly, you have the ability to thrive is a fast-paced environment while being able to manage priorities, remain self-motivated, and collaborate with other areas of the business. Fluency in French is a plus.
