Position

Louis Vuitton is seeking an Associate Merchandiser to assist the Leather Goods team in all aspects of managing the business of all stores in the Americas zone.  Also includes ownership of the Special Orders, Personalization and W SLG categories.  Main responsibilities include sales reporting and recaps, developing business strategy, product & Virtual selling tools creation, sample administration, regular competitive pricing analysis, organization of regional retail.

As an integral member of the Merchandising team, you will support the Merchandising Managers responsible for the leather goods business through reporting on a weekly and monthly basis while generating multiple reports in Excel.  With strong analytical skills, you will provide recaps to the team and create PowerPoint presentations when needed and you will support in providing competitive analysis with monthly recaps.  Additionally, you will monitor overall sample inventory through Fashion GPS for trainings and events while maintaining the sample closet.  For the Special Order category, you will be the main point of contact for stores and the Paris team to execute orders and troubleshoot client issues.  You will also be responsible for estimates, tracking of production and delivery, and communication on the status of each piece.


Profile

We are eager to speak to individuals with three to four years of experience in Merchandising or Business Analysis, preferably in the retail industry, that have a strong product sensibility and knowledge of the competitive landscape with a passion for the luxury industry.  In addition, the ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong analytical abilities, such as organizing, evaluating, and interpreting data.  You will have a service-oriented mentality, be highly driven, organized, proactive, and detail oriented with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines and you will have exceptional communication skills.  Lastly, you have the ability to thrive is a fast paced environment while being able to manage priorities, remain self-motivated, and collaborate with other areas of the business.
