Position

Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking an Associate Merchandiser to support both Men and Women's Ready-to-Wear categories to execute the merchandising strategy and drive the overall RTW business based in our New York City office. This role will support overarching RTW priorities and launches, analyze sales at SKU/store level, maximize sell-through by proposing stock pushes and rebalancings and manage the carryover program. The Associate Merchandiser will roll out and support RTW Essentials network, including product knowledge and category logistics training, assortment setup and management as well as stock reviews, sales analysis and performance recaps.

As an Associate Merchandiser, you will actively stay on top of competition and market needs, preparing recaps on new launch feedback and competitors including trends, pricing, actions and events. This role will also play a crucial role in coordinating Men's and Women's Universe Summits, organizing logistics, developing invites and welcome packages and liaise with third party vendors to negotiate rates. Additionally, the Associate Merchandiser will collaborate cross-functionally with Paris Marketing & Merchandising teams , Supply Chain, Logistics, Digital and Visual Merchandising teams, as well as regularly communicate with stores and update the Company intranet to ensure accurate information is provided to stores.


Profile

We are eager to speak to individuals with 3-5 years' experience in merchandising, with strong product sensibility, ability to develop knowledge of competitive trends and passion for the industry, luxury product and retail. The ideal candidate will have advanced Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, macros, vlookups, pivots) and PowerPoint (animations, advanced formatting, design) skills, as well as outstanding communication skills. Additionally, the ability to understand and leverage product and financial reports to drive business, strong analytic and sense of urgency and fluency in foreign language (preferably French) a plus!
