Louis Vuitton have a unique opportunity for a Merchandising Director of Leathergoods who will drive the business in the North and Latin America. Based in New York and reporting to the SVP of Merchandising, this pivotal role will lead strategies for the universe that are market-specific in collaboration with corporate partners both locally and in Paris with the support of our store network to drive business. With an in-depth knowledge of the leathergoods merchandising landscape, you will develop and drive profitable merchandising business plans that are in line with local and global strategy while meeting the consumer's needs. You will also manage all product launches to ensure business opportunities are maximized and remain present in the market to understand the needs of our clients in each specific market.
As a cross functional partner of multiple functions such as Supply Chain, Client Development, Visual Merchandising, Digital, and Communications, you will relay buying initiatives gathered from the four annual buying sessions in Paris and develop initiatives to deliver to the store network in order to achieve sales targets. Having a close partnership with Training, you will assist with the organization and delivery of product trainings and creation of communication tools to distribute to the store network. Additionally, you will be responsible for the management of merchandising professionals in order to drive the success of the leathergoods business.
We are eager to speak to professionals who possess a Bachelor's Degree in conjunction with a minimum of ten years' of experience in buying with management of multiple categories and have proven expertise in the leathergoods market. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual who possesses the ability to lead a business and a team, with a provide track record of delivering business growth and innovative merchandising solutions. As a strong team player, you will be required to be hands-on when necessary and understand the importance of the detail behind the business for which you are responsible for.
