Position

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the allocation and distribution of the Shoe product category to the North American Boutiques in accordance with total company strategic business plans.


Profile

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Merchandising Functions

  • Manage, update, and review open-to-buy (OTB)
  • Select/place seasonal market orders in Paris
  • Project seasonal sales
  • Review weekly sales reports insuring planned sales and stretch are achieved
  • Place and confirm reorders as needed
  • Manage Return-to-Vendors (RTV's)
  • Review and follow up with deliveries
  • Manage stock placement for new doors
  • Update and Manage purchase orders
  • Place and confirm special orders as needed
  • Manage inventory for store events
  • Recap show and incentive results
  • Stock projections; review sales, net receipts
  • Oversee stock balances
  • Prepare markdowns (prepare selection, negotiate w/Paris office)
  • Review sales results on Advertising campaigns and catalogue styles

Reporting Functions

  • Prepare and Review OTB
  • Prepare and review fast/slow sellers report
  • Prepare and review sell through report
  • Provide end of season (EOS) product analysis and final sales report
  • Provide EOS final sale reports

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6-8 years prior Merchandising experience, luxury retail preferred
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills preferred
  • Ability for frequent travel
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (ie; Excel, Access. Word)
