Mission

The position is based in Singapore. Reporting to the General Manager, South East Asia & Australia and functionally to Regional Merchandising Director, Asia Pacific.

The Merchandising Manager, South East Asia contributes to company success through managing the Fendi Men's category in the merchandising function for South East Asia. Coordinate and support each buying season, study and define the product assortment according to the specificity of South East Asia markets. Provide product training to the markets.

The Merchandising Manager, South East Asia will work closely with VM, Marketing and Retail teams on key projects, launches and commercial activities.


Profile

Main Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Buying

  • Analyze and define the product assortment according to the specificity of each South East Asia markets
  • Attend the seasonal buying sessions to ensure the right merchandise is purchased for South East Asia in the right quantity to achieve targeted sales projections and sell-throughs
  • Support OTB
  • Consolidate merchandise information and order details to share with stores after buying
  • Support in the preparation of sales forecast co-ordinate on re-ordering of merchandise

Merchandising, Product Training & Display

  • Support the remerchandising review of store during new merchandise launch and season end sale
  • Evaluate stock level to establish action plan
  • Support in re-order and initiate stock rebalancing when necessary
  • Analyze sales performance through sell-through analysis & propose action plan
  • Support the preparation of training materials on Merchandise
  • Work with regional VM on guidelines to visual merchandising and stores on display according to Italy guidelines / launch schedule / advertising & promotion program / image / sales and stock level
  • Support retail pricing for South East Asia, in line with pricing policy and global positioning set by regional and headquarter
  • Study competitors' pricing

Commercial Follow-up

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on comments about merchandises
  • Follow up the development of quality and after sales services
  • Conduct market research on customer behavior, market trend, competitors' price and product offer

Additional information

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong sensitivity to the luxury products universe
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years or above solid merchandising experience in high end fashion
  • Strong fashion sense, familiar with both local and overseas market situations and trends
  • Strong analytics skill, detail oriented and numerically sensitive
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills
  • Self-motivated, results oriented and able to work under pressure on tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently but also collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel and Power Point
