Position

The New Venture Manager is responsible for developing NBV Brand commercial success, distribution and awareness, in alignment with the business development & commercial growth strategy. This role can be assessed as the local interface when it comes to commerce, education & marketing. This role will report to the Market Manager NBV and support him/her in the development and roll-out of the distribution and activation strategy nationally to ensure a successful launch of the Portfolio in Germany.

SALES AND DISTRIBUTION DEVELOPMENT

  • Define and deliver distribution objectives based on a targeted scope of retail specialists, selective On-trade (Focus on key (regional) WS partners), e-retail & CPS in full collaboration with MHDE Sales Force
  • Drive brand performance according to Brand Equity KPIs: volume and value, quality of the distribution, quantity and quality of brand activations ​
  • Manage front-line: visit targeted accounts to introduce and sell the brands, including product listing, commercial negotiation and activation planning​
  • Influence brand visibility and impact in-store and spot effective activation opportunities ​
  • Establish a clear hit list of existing and "to conquer" accounts in the on trade / off trade / e retail in full collaboration with MHDE

KEY CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT

  • Directly co-manage the Top NBV customers (key WS partners, On-Trade & Off-Trade high image accounts) to deliver commercial objectives
  • To develop customer strategy and plan that achieves the annual customer budget
  • Build relationships with key customers at all levels, act as primary contact for joint business development
  • Deliver agreed volume, cost price, customer investment (FTT) and profit targets for NBV Portfolio Brands

BRAND MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and implement mid-term (1-3 year) brand strategies in line with local strategies and Maisons
  • Deliver main brand marketing & communications activations, build annual brand plans (in collaboration with AGS center)
  • Ensure optimal allocation of A&P expenditure and transparent reporting (A&P controlling)
  • Close collaboration with the Trade Marketing team to develop targeted & bespoke trade activations
  • Propose launch strategies, volume and pricing policy for new products
  • Market Expert - Trends, category data, positioning of opportunity

EDUCATION (Trade & Sales Teams):

  • Develops internal training calendar on NBV brands (categories, competitors) in accordance with business priorities for region of responsibility (South)
  • Ensure sales teams are fully equipped with relevant and up-to-date selling tools & knowledge in order to effectively sell the NBV portfolio
  • Support sales' community with trade trainings and communication actions on the field in accordance with local market strategies & Maison key messages

AMBASSADORSHIP:

  • Personifies the brand, living and breathing its DNA, act as the #1 ambassador in the market​
  • Contributes to & delivers inspiring brand educational plans (in-store tastings, fairs, shows, partnerships)​
  • Creates strong relationship and emotional connection with customers and influencers to build lasting advocacy​
  • Develops a customer and trade influencers database and network. Shares "firsthand" info with the sales teams

Profil

  • Excellent commercial and/or marketing track record, with sales development / brand buildingg experience in the spirits / drinks industry (min. 2-3 years)
  • Proven ability in motivating others and acting as a team player, internally (non-hierarchical relationships) and externally (trade owners/staff, influencers, partners)
  • Outstanding presentation/people hosting skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Capacity to evolve in an international environment
  • Languages: fluent in English and German, French/Spanish would be beneficial but not mandatory
  • Business/University degree
  • Entrepreneurial & risk-taking mindset, acting like a brand owner, with agility and flexibility
  • Passion for craft spirits and ability to inspire others
  • Ability to manage the brand with creative flair and instinctive marketing judgement
  • High cross-cultural sensitivity, curiosity, openness to the world
  • Hands-on: from building strategy to managing executional details (ex: in-store tastings)
  • Ability to establish strong relationship with key stakeholders and partners. An existing ‘spirits industry" network within the market is a plus
  • Clear and adaptable communicator, at all levels of customer, influencer or internal stakeholders
