Main Objective

Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the PR Director is responsible for strategically
placing brand stories, fashion editorials, and product features across all media channels ensuring the
brand's ranking in DMR.

Leading the Public Relations Department, the Public Relations Director is responsible for all editorial for the US, with agency support in Canada, Brazil and Mexico and for building and maintaining strong editorial relationships with Fashion Features Editors, Fashion and Accessories Directors, and Editors In Chief.

As a member of the broader North America Marketing team, the PR Director contribute to 360 initiatives collaboratively with a team player approach; building strong relationships with the HQ for effective planning and execution of communications strategies in a quickly evolving editorial landscape.

Job Responsibilities

>  Serve as primary point person for all media and secure the brand's inclusion in key outlets

>  Set the Public Relations strategy for the region to achieve optimal results in the DMR rankings, which should be monitored monthly

>  Proactively pitch features to news directors, journalists and editors in chief for corporate coverage in collaboration with HQ on any Spokesperson requests, angles and approvals

>  Negotiate exclusives in print and on line for maximum impact on special initiatives

>  Develop and implement action plans for press initiatives throughout the year

>  Oversee fashion editorials and product features, particularly in key titles

>  Organize and execute US, Mexican, Brazilian and Canadian media presence at Milan men's and women's fashion week shows including press attendance, seating, photographers, interviews, show reviews, front row coverage and re-see appointments

>  Oversee press days at the New York showroom

>  Draft and distribute press releases on store openings and key regional events with approval from HQ

>  Liaise with celebrity stylists for dressing opportunities, product placement/seeding

>  Manage seasonal sample buy for six collections a year for men's and women's, US, Mexico and Brazil

>  Oversee junior team members and external agencies

>  Responsible for managing the PR budget



Required Skills, Knowledge and Attributes

>  10 years of experience in PR at a luxury brand and/or agency experience working in the luxury fashion space

>  Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field

>  Foreign languages a plus, Italian is preferred

>  Excellent written and oral communication skills

>  Able to work under pressure and multi-task

>  Strong relationships with key members of the press, celebrity stylists, influencers

>  Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a diverse and talented team

>  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Fashion GPS, DMR

Additional requirements/information:

>  The position requires travel to Europe a minimum of 6 times per year, with additional travel as required
