Parfums Christian Dior Japan is looking for a Product Development Marketing Coordinator.

This is a very unique opportunity where you will be working on cross regional initiatives. Although the position will sit in Japan, the role will also cover the Korean market.

The missionof this role is to develop innovation that meets local consumers' expectations and preempts competition, on key Asia market segments by deeply understanding regional consumer needs in Asia, especially in China, Japan and Korea.

Profile

Report to: Market & Consumer Intelligence Senior Manager (Japan)

Provide leadership on analysis for market trends and key uniqueness on competitive products, to propose new product opportunities for the brand by designing and developing new product ideas that both fit Asian needs and brand image. This is supported by consumer/market researches in China, Japan, Korea and other Asian markets. Support assessment of concepts and prototypes developed by AIC and Central Marketing/R&D. Scope of overall responsibility is listed but not limited to the followings:

  1. Market Analysis & Consumer Insights
       - Track and report new market trends in Asia (focus Korea) and evaluate competitive activities (threats, opportunities, product positioning, and success factors).
       - Analyze reasons behind successful launches in Asia and provide insights on what could be applied for our products and/or concepts in the future.
       - Deeply understand Asian Consumer Insights, especially the Korean consumers, in order to translate into relevant initiatives (prospective project proposals) and ensure that consumer voice is well-reflected in each project (both International and Asian-specific projects).
       - Interface and communicate with Asia operational marketing teams on market and competitive conditions, Dior existing products sales and business impact, identification of opportunities.

  2. Prospective Marketing
       - Clearly understand opportunities in Asia, and work closely with R&D on innovation projects to design and develop product prototypes.
       - With deep knowledge and understanding of cosmetics and our brand, support building and assessing new product concepts and prototypes.

  3. Asia specific Product Development
       - Proactively support central marketing for Asian specific product development from concepts to launch.
       - Proactively support evaluation of product prototypes in development to ensure the success of product in Asian markets.

 


About You

  • Ability to drive programs with keen attention to details and excellent follow through

Technical skills:

  • Experience in marketing or product development in luxury or beauty industry
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of research tools is an advantage
  • Excel, Powerpoint, ...
  • Fluent in English and Korean (+ Japanese is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of Korean local market, culture and language would be a great advantage
Profile :
  • University graduate
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a full time worker where experience in cosmetic industry (marketing / development relevant preferred) will be in advantage
  • Fluent in English and Korean (+ Japanese is an advantage)
