The role of the Regional Product Merchandiser is to drive in-store animation for all product categories within an assigned region and to give the stores product information to help them reach their maximum sales potential by focusing on key bets. This role will support, motivate and challenge sales teams. This is accomplished through a close partnership between regional, store and corporate teams, implementation of impactful store actions, and training and support throughout the year.
Key responsibilities will be focused on (a) animating and training in-store, (b) supporting corporate merchandising to ensure product offerings best support sales, (c) driving business through deep analysis to identify opportunities and action planning; (d) providing market knowledge for corporate partners.
> Partner w/ store teams on goals: help identify & realize success by co-creating action plans w/ store managers to drive success
> Drive big bets, share product strategies with regional & store teams
> In store regularly to share/update/ensure all product launches and initiatives are in play consistently throughout all stores
> Organizes metro kick offs/store meetings for key topics (ex: 4 Transversal collections a year/per gender, Shoe pre-collections, Key LG/Acc. launches)
> Hosts morning debriefs with teams as needed
> Product knowledge trainings in close partnership with training team (ex: RTW, WJ, Hard-sided, MTO, MyPerso, MTO Shoes)
> Close working relationship and align with VM to ensure business priorities are protected, maintain consistency in brand identity
Corporate Merchandising Support
> Supports launch and focus planning and execution throughout the year
> Bubbles up recurring themes/issues and liases with corporate merchants and stores for continuous improvement
> Follow up with all stores to ensure Newsletter content for Merchandising is being realized in store
> Provide monthly written feedback to Corporate Merchandising team on new launches and cluster assortment requests, based on client feedback; sizing requests. Actively participate on regularly scheduled calls, providing valuable input to topics raised.
> Engage in Showroom, ensuring valuable client and store feedback is integrated into the buying process
> Partners on content and animation of Sales Meeting's; inclusive of the take back to stores
> Identifies action plans with RVP, Store Directors/Managers and teams to maximize opportunities, focus on ST and minimize risks
> Ensures business is growing by gender, by category
> Monitor progress to business goals by category, highlighting major misses, building TY vs LY through thoughtful calendar mgmt
> Improve business acumen in Region, identifying and training teams on impactful drivers of business performance
> Identifies needs - VM, Training, Clienteling and assists in organizing said levers with/for the store and Out of Offer Product requests (prioritizing and cutting through the noise for region).
> Aggregates and elevates Supply Chain opportunities regarding stock levels, pull backs (both ongoing and during holidays), event support and high traffic/peak selling periods. Action on key Corporate call-outs for region.
> Be the local high end/luxury expert, providing market expertise and competitive feedback to LVA Merchandising team
> Event support, coordination and execution, ex: OON and in-store support during peak times
> BA or BS required, MBA preferred
> Strong, energetic, clear communicator
> Ability to understand and leverage product and financial reports to drive business
