The position is based in Rome. As member of the Project Design Team, the Project Design Specialist is the appointee to design and plan architectural projects accordingly with store concept and desing guidelines of Architecture Department. Reporting directly to the Project Design Manager, he/she will manage the entire design process of the project, from sketched layout to preliminary bim drawings release, respecting Regional Managers brief as well as the local requirements.

Main Responsibilities

The Project Design Specialist works closely with corporate teams (Design, Project Management, Procurement) to ensure the correct development of all aspects of the project. The Project Design Specialist is also responsible for finalizing Senior Managers project approval, respecting PM design phase scheduling and ensuring quality of projects throughout the entire process of planning and construction.

  • Cooperate with Project Management Team to prepare location lay-out to match planned retail sales and organize internal review with all corporate and local teams
  • Constantly liaise with internal Concept Design to finalize Concept details
  • Collaborate with Procurement Manager to finalize materials respecting local regulations
  • Prepare Store Committee Report as sharing tool with Corporate Teams based in America and Asia to update them regularly along the project development
  • Organize and animate weekly meetings and conference call with PM, Design, Procurement to monitor project progress, get new brief and set deadlines
  • Coordinate and cooperate with PM teams to review and analyze projects briefs in order to ensure consistence with projects and concept, from preliminary submission up to shop drawings
  • Visit construction sites and prepare coordinated reports, to ensure respect of the project and the design guidelines, identifying outstanding issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up to PM teams


  • Degree in Architecture, Design or related Engineering fields (University degree or similar)
  • Retail/Interior Designer with 2/3 years work experience inside a comparable luxury international company or similar complexity
  • Freehand drawing proficiency
  • Computer skills: Windows and MAC OS - Revit, Autocad 2D/3D, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator...)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Detail oriented. Proactive and highly organized
  • Able to quickly shift from design creativity to planning management
  • Decision-making. Able to work independently, but also collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Able to work under pressure and tight dead-lines
