The role of the Regional Merchant (Manager) is to drive in-store animation for all product categories within an assigned region and to give the stores product information to help them reach their maximum sales potential. This role will support, motivate and challenge sales teams. This is accomplished through a close partnership between regional, store and corporate teams, implementation of impactful store actions, and training and support throughout the year.
Key responsibilities will be focused on (a) driving business through deep analysis and action planning, (b) animating and training in-store; (c) supporting corporate merchandising to ensure product offerings best support sales, (d) providing market knowledge for corporate partners.
As the Regional Merchandising Manager, you will identify action plans with the RVP, Store Directors/Managers and teams to maximize opportunities, focus on Sell-thru and minimize risks. In addition, you will ensure business is growing by gender, by category and monitor progress to business goals by category, highlighting major misses, building TY vs LY through thoughtful calendar mgmt. Lastly, Improve business acumen in Region, identifying and training teams on impactful drivers of business performance and identifying needs - VM, Training, Clienteling and assists in organizing said levers with/for the store and Out of Offer Product requests (prioritizing and cutting through the noise for region) will also be daily focuses of the RMM.
In addition, the RMM will aggregate and elevate Supply Chain opportunities regarding stock levels, pull backs (both ongoing and during holidays), event support and high traffic/peak selling periods. The RMM will action on key Corporate call-outs for region, be the local high end/luxury expert, provide market expertise and competitive feedback to LVA Merchandising team. The RMM will also provide physical in-store support during peak times throughout the year.
