CONTEXT AND TEAM

AS PLANNING MANAGER, GREATER CHINA & ASIA PACIFIC YOU WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE REGIONAL MANAGING DIRECTOR AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SALES AND DISTRIBUTION PLANNING ACROSS A KEY REGION FOR OUR BUSINESS. YOU WILL MANAGE A TEAM AND WORK IN CLOSE COOPERATION WITH THE CENTRAL TEAM IN PARIS, WHILE BEING A KEY BUSINESS PARTNER TO THE REGIONAL MERCHANDISING TEAM.

 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

SALES PLANNING

  • UTILISE THE FULL CAPACITY OF THE ANAPLAN TOOL TO PROVIDE ACCURATE MONTHLY FORECASTS OF SALES AT SKU LEVEL WITH A FORECASTING ACCURACY OF 70% ON LIBRARY
  • COLLABORATE WITH BOTH LOCAL AND REGIONAL TEAMS TO ENSURE MODIFICATIONS TO PLAN ARE WELL JUSTIFIED AND COMMUNICATED, MAKING REPRESENTATIONS FROM A LOCAL LEVEL TO THE CENTRAL TEAM
  • ENSURE TIMELY COMMUNICATION OF EITHER OVERSTOCK OR OUT OF STOCK PROJECTION TO BOTH LOCAL AND CENTRAL TEAMS
  • tAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE REGULAR UPDATES TO MONTHLY BEST ESTIMATES ACROSS ALL CATEGORIES, WORKING IN CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH BOTH MERCHANDISING AND FINANCE TEAMS
  • ACT AS A STRONG BUSINESS PARTNER TO THE MERCHANDISING AND CENTRAL PLANNING TEAMS DURING EACH BUYING SESSION, SETTING UP AND CHALLENGING SALES PLANS FOR EACH SEASONS
  • LEAD THE PROCESS OF COMMUNICATING AND THEN VALIDATING SALES PLANS IN ORDER TO COMMIT TO THE OTB
  • PRODUCE ACCURATE SALES FORECASTS USING A PROCESS OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT TO IMPROVE RESULTS

 

DISTRIBUTION PLANNING

  • Ensure that DRP (for fast-movers & permanent) & Auto Replenishment are effectively implemented on all activities
  • Fine-tune DRP and Auto Replenishment processes to optimize current stock allocation, within the region, and at worldwide level
  • Monitor adequate stock level in region throughout the season according to sales plan, PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION TO SEASONAL LAUNCHES FROM SET UP PROPOSAL TO STORE ALLOCATION
  • Monitor closely daily Auto Replenishment & weekly DRP through parameter (forecasts, target stock, etc.) integration and adjustment according to product lifecycle
  • PROACTIVELY RebalancE STOCK in case of shortages or lower remaining stock and size consolidation.
  • Challenge both central and local teams to ensure the correct balance of stock level and commercial opportunity.
  • Manage Permanent Products supply and distribution guaranteeing its availability in Retail BY REVIEWING THE FORECAST AND FINE-TUNING BUFFER STOCKS IN THE REGION WITH THE CENTRAL TEAM AS WELL AS OPTIMISING THE ALLOCATION STRATEGIES IN CASE OF PARTIAL SHORTAGE

  • WORK IN A COMMERCIAL AND STRATEGIC WAY WITH BOTH LOCAL AND CENTRAL TEAMS TO ENSURE THE BEST OUTCOMES FOR THE BUSINESS
  • ACT AS A BUSINESS PARTNER FOR THE REGIONAL MERCHANDISING TEAM BY REVIEWING AND CHALLENGING THEIR INPUTS AND PROACTIVELY PROPOSING STRATEGIES FURTHER TO SUPPORT THE BUSINESS
  • DRIVE AND PARTICIPATE ON PROJECTS LOCALLY WITH A SUPPLY CHAIN INPUT OR LEAD, SUCH AS STOCK REBALANCING OR STORE OPENINGS

IDEAL PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION: DEGREE LEVEL, IDEALLY IN A NUMERICAL OR ANALYTICAL FIELD

EXPERIENCE: AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF SALES PLANNING AND DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY  

SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong analytical skills
  • A NATURAL ABILITY TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CLEAR AND CHALLENGING DECISIONS
  • Good communication skills WITH A PROVEN TRACK-RECORD OF BUSINESS PARTNERING
