Regional Sales Manager-Perfume (WEST)
The Regional Manager is responsible for delivering retail sales plans, while strengthening local account penetration - with a disproportionate growth acceleration in top potential doors. The Regional Manager also owns critical organizational expectations- seasonal planning, leadership and coaching a diverse team of Selling Managers, to deliver perfect execution, every day. This role will take action under the direct supervision of the National Sales Director and will work collaboratively with other members of the Perfume Department, including Perfume Sell-in, Education and Marketing. The regional Manager Perfume Sales - West will be based in Houston, Texas. Retail experience with multiple deparment store partners and fragrance and/or cosmetics experience required.
1. Achieve Retail Sales Plan: Consistently deliver on commitments and proactively communicate solutions to capture upside opportunities or mitigate downside risk to plan Regularly analyze weekly retail sales and adjust to trends or future anticipated support changes. Utilize sales + staffing reports to identify opportunities, liabilities, and positive ROI Own seasonal joint business planning with National Sales Director Leverage marketing calendars, new product launches, storewide promotions, Holiday intensification plans, anniversary plans, and competitive activity Ensure Selling Manager's execute Bulgari branded events in-store with excellence (strictly following guidelines); partner with and solicit support of local special event, marketing, and visual teams to drive sales 2. Leading and Coaching: Perfectly execute corporate by-door scheduling guidance & retail sales expectations Ensure all Selling Managers fulfill exact schedule expectations Ensure all Selling Managers fulfill door retail sales plan expectations Manage industry best BA and Freelancer Teams Weekly: Monitor Selling Manager schedule adherence, productivity, and ROI effectiveness Monthly: Leverage data to actively coach & monitor underperformers, celebrate top performers, and capture learnings to share with National Sales Director Seasonally: All Sell-Out planning must be completed in advance Ongoing: Ensure Bulgari Selling Managers build and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with all levels of store management, to secure and benefit from preferred vendor status Regularly coach and lead by example through formalized Regional visits with each Selling Manager 3. Training Collaborate with Education Manager to train BA's and Freelancers on new initiatives and selling techniques Leverage market visits to confirm retention of training materials amongst Selling Teams. Actively review key materials, role-play/coach in-store when possible Display confidence in public speaking, it is a key requirement for successful market schools and regional/district presentations 4. Stewardship: Budget Ownership: Adhere to spending guidelines with minimal (<2%) under spends to allocated budgets. Includes Staffing, Travel, and Training spending. Use of Corporate Assets: 100% compliance on corporate rules and regulations as set for corporate assets: laptops, iPads, American Express Cards, non-saleable merchandise, etc. Key Performance Indicators: Retail $ / % vs Plan (with disproportionate Top Door Acceleration) Staffing budgets deployed on-time and managed within+/- 2% monthly accuracy Compliance to call cycle in partnership with National Director (field visits 75% of the time) Ensure adherence to policy for scheduling and paying BA's and Freelancers Budget Management within +/- 2% seasonal accuracy Monthly performance reviews & coaching discussions with Selling Managers Develop measurable action plans and track progress Holiday Gift Set % Sell-Out For Le Gemme doors: BA's will own by-door sales plans, business results, and in-store partnerships
7+ years' sales experience in Perfume, Beauty, or Service industry in retail environment required Preferred: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university Strong ability to take initiative and ownership of projects Ability to propose new ideas and lead them to completion in collaboration with National Sales Director Ability to motivate others Excellent problem-solving skills and solution-oriented Ability to multi-task and work independently Agility and ability to react quickly with strong sense of urgency Aptitude to develop strong relationships built on respect and trust Computer Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, including out of state travel. Required to work from a home office and have the ability to travel between client locations This position allows for one office day per week
