Key responsibilities:

  • To define and coordinate with the Paris HQ, Countries and Boutiques the ready-to-wear and shoes strategies including new collection/ product launch, new product development, distribution, strategy, sales animation and product offer.
  • To follow-up ready-to-wear and shoes business in Asia-Pacific to maximise sales and profits.

The essential job duties:

Buying Function

  • Develop merchandising strategies for the region
  • Define product mix of ready-to-wear and shoes of each market
  • Prepare seasonal open-to-buy together with Business Planning
  • Attend seasonal buying sessions in Paris to ensure best merchandise is purchased at appropriate quantities and sizes to achieve targeted sales projections and sell-through
  • Prepare sales forecast on products
  • Deliver reliable sales planning data and work closely with Supply Chain Department for production distribution and allocation

Merchandising Function

  • Act as the coordinator for all ready-to-wear and shoes related issues between Paris HQ, countries and boutiques
  • Provide the boutique network with relevant collection and product information, sales strategies, and selling techniques
  • Plan seasonal product launch to preview new collection for Elite and VIC clients. Plan trunk shows or fashions shows and prepare looks for showcasing.
  • Work with VM on collection/ product launches, boutique remerchandising & season end sale
  • Plan seasonal markdown schedules and provide markdown list for all boutiques.
  • Propose season end discount and control discount to be in line with budget
  • Prepare review reports on product
  • Analyse sales performance through sell-through analysis & propose action plan
  • Control inventory level
  • Arrange retail pricing for all markets to be in line with price policy & global positioning as set by Paris
  • Arrange transfer of merchandise to maximize sell through percentage
  • Conduct market research, competitors analysis, market & product trends as well as pricing


  • Responsible for organizing and coordinating promotional activities
  • Collaborate with VM team to have synergetic launch, in-store merchandising, window display and visuals.
  • Provide and discuss with PR department to ensure brand image promotion is in line with product plan
  • Work closely with CDM team to understand client demands on pricing, styling and qualities
  • Identify business opportunities with CDM, local markets and retail team
  • Propose incentives for selective categories and products to achieve set sales target


  • Liaise with Paris on seasonal product training materials
  • Organize and conduct products training policy; initiate training tools when needed; identify training requirements; propose new training orientations; report to Paris about the roll-out and feedback of product training
  • Provide the boutique network with relevant product information, sales strategies, and selling techniques

Team Management

  • Lead, motivate and develop the team by following up their development actions and provide career development plans


  • Establish a close working relationship with Merchanting team in different categories and retail teams
  • Provide support and contribute to ad hoc projects and activities related to merchandising


Education & Professional Qualifications

  • University graduate in related discipline

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in merchandising of luxury good and service related industry preferred
  • Minimum 10 years relevant working experience

  • Language skills: English, Cantonese & Mandarin, other language ability is an added advantage
