Position

To be responsible for all aspects of company permanent merchandising including counter design and merchandising across all channels of the distribution for UK and Eire, ensuring the integrity of all the institutional brand requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Merchandising Strategy

  • Define and communicate (internally and externally) the LVMH Fragrance Brands UK merchandising strategy: defining and implementing a brand-building merchandising programme, undertaking relevant merchandising surveys; reviewing processes to transform and maintain luxury image at all levels of distribution
  • Be responsible for budgetary control and creation for managing counter repairs and relevant POS material.
  • Be the point of contact for all team members regarding store image, from Director to Beauty Consultant level.
  • Ensure that the sales team are fully briefed on merchandising expectations for successfully implementing the global strategies

 

Hard Merchandising

  • Project manage all new counters projects, from design through to installation
  • Develop new counters design in collaboration with France Head office team
  • Communicate with France Head office and gain approval for all new counters
  • Be responsible for space management for new counter builds and all retail distribution through relevant software tools. Work with Merchandising Product Manager on planogramming for new builds
  • Challenge and improve store design to ensure new counters stand out, are easy to work with, and are easy to maintain - meeting at all times the brand image guidelines
  • Enter into contract negotiations as appropriate for new counter builds - liaising with retailers, Head Quarters, suppliers, and internal departments to give updates at each stage
  • Ensure Maintenance of existing counter is dealt with within acceptable lead-times, to budget and that image is safeguarded at all times
  • Work with external suppliers/shopfitters in the provision of counter maintenance

Profile

the 5 years of merchandising/ design experience gained in a similar environment

Understanding of counter design

Degree qualification in Interior/ 3D design

Project management background

Good understanding of luxury business

Experience within either a luxury, premium, retail or cosmetics business

Personal affinity with products and brand

Experience of the UK retail market place an asset, but not essential
