Role

The Retail Excellence Operations Manager will directly support retail points of sale in North America to achieve their business plans through both sales floor and back office responsibilities. This person is key in supporting teams and businesses by creating a link between HQ operations and customer experience in store. Support to the retail network is imperative, the candidate must have a hands-on approach, and able to give local support and guidance whenever it is required by the business. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage new openings, relocations, pop ups, family sales - capable of managing calendar and retro-planning
  • Liaise and facilitate communication amongst the different departments to ensure timely delivery of tasks
  • Communicate an authentic passion for the brand
  • Support the Regional Retail Director with various analysis and reports
  • Monitor regional actions and initiatives taken by the brand, analyzing their impacts, relevance and efficiencies
  • Propose and define new business solutions (such as new retail tools, activities and practices & processes) with the goal of continuously improving and raising the Brand Operational Retail Standards
  • Recruit, lead, manage, and develop BOH teams in partnership with the Store Manager and Retail Director
  • Conduct regular audits in the store to ensure all locations are fully compliant with  policies and regulations
  • Manage auditors visit either from LVMH or external companies - able to create and follow up an action plan to implement any changes necessary
  • Fully manage the stock receiving process
  • Organize and execute trainings to new employees and store associates
  • Ensure all POS have proper supplies and materials to operate efficiently
  • Strong acumen on loss-prevention for retail stores, health & safety - able to liaise with the LP team for store openings, trainings, theft, security booking, ect.
  • Implement and ensure all stores maintain visual guidelines in designated POS and back office areas, liaising with Operations Mangers, Store Managers, Stock Controllers
  • Work closely with Inventory Control to supervise stores cycle counts and stock loss - organize and participate in store/warehouse inventories, minimizing stock loss for the Company
  • Review shipping and delivery rates, follow up with logistics

Profile

Key competencies:

  • 5+ years' experience in Retail Operations
  • Experience working with P&L
  • High standards in great customer service, understanding of customer centric operations
  • Competency in strategic planning, business planning and operational development
  • Experience in operational process improvement and leading structured change/improvement projects
  • Experience managing all aspects of new openings, pop-ups, relocations, including retro planning calendars
  • Working knowledge of IT/business infrastructure and retail technology solutions
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills, alongside a strong personal drive
  • Detail oriented with strong project management (requires working on multiple projects simultaneously)
  • Analytical capabilities and numeric aptitude, able to work fluently with Excel
  • Humility and willingness/openness to learn from others
  • Teamwork approach critical - role requires ability to build strong relationships with functional team partners
  • Flexible/comfortable with ambiguity, problem solving attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure, able to multitask, detail oriented with aptitude in decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Extensive travel required
