Position

The Sales Development Manager is responsible for daily business issues and reporting relating to all promotional and new product programs across all three product axes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and distribute specialized reports for field sales and NY Office to use on a weekly/monthly basis, including but not limited to:
    • Flash report
    • Retail reporting for total business
    • Regional Dashboard Report
    • Retailer-specific reporting
    • Account Executive and Training Coordinator and Fragrance Account Coordinator reports
    • Pillar Pro by Account report
    • Retail & Calendar tapers
    • PPR-Account Executive Budget report
    • Ad hoc reports as needed
  • Demonstration support, including but not limited to:
    • Preparing monthly Demonstration reports and reconciliations
    • Determining proper charges and clear up outstanding issues
    • Monitoring and analyzing cost against planned spend by Door/Account
    • Assisting in the design and development of key demonstration reports for North America
    • Ensuring the timely preparation, validation, and distribution of assigned Department Reports
    • Performing salary and commission discrepancy review and invoice validation
    • Assisting with formulating demonstration policies and procedures while ensuring compliance
    • Performing annual Demonstration Assessment and assisting with responses to internal/external audit requests
    • Providing Brand Finance Demo support
    • Performing special projects and analysis as requested by Management
  • Manage and report budgets for Selling Specialist, Travel & Expense, Coop, In-store, and Print.
    • Manage Selling Specialist budgets for the entire U.S. market
      • Including all special programs - Master Artist/Skincare events
      • Provide a weekly recap and budget vs. spend recap
      • Set up all PSA#'s by account by program
    • Support the Maintenance of Coop and In-store spend budgets
    • Manage the promo calendars:
      • Create and update promo calendars on Seasonal basis for all 16 accounts
      • Review proposed spend with VP of Sales Development and provide callouts
      • Upload all data into the PSA system for tracking and financial control
      • Work with Accounts Receivable on all outstanding spend to allocate all chargebacks to proper allocation of spend
      • Process all invoicing for In-store events
    • Review spend on monthly basis with Finance to track spend vs. budget
    • Create and maintain a comprehensive file for all budgets to provide to Regionals their full year budget broken down by season by category by pillar
    • Set up and manage the Travel & Expense budget for the U.S.
    • Create a new format for the new T&E file, working in partnership with Finance
      • Work with AP in setting up all new personnel and vendors
      • Code and approve all T&E and invoicing via E-invoicing
      • Manage all re-classes with Finance
    • Manage and update the productivity report on a bi-yearly basis to monitor productivity of Selling Specialists
  • Manage and create seasonal gratis forms
  • Update changes in Cognos with focus line details:
    • Opening/closing new doors
    • Working with IT in data-related matters
    • Load all non-edi sales data on weekly basis
    • Process all alignment changes to update the address book
