Position

The Sales Manager, Leather Goods is responsible for managing the Celine leather goods business in North America by meeting sales budgets and maintaining a high-quality brand image. This individual will manage the relationship with existing clients through market and through store visits. The position will evaluate and provide support to clients on matters relating to product knowledge and assortments.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to US sales strategy; supervise and maintain commercial network; maximize strategic development opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all accounts including department stores and key specialty stores and identify development opportunities
  • Sell the collections in Paris to all current and potential wholesale accounts and animate replenishments
  • Regularly visit stores to support sales and provide qualitative feedback regarding visual merchandising (approximately 20% of time spent traveling)
  • Responsible for monitoring the timely deliveries of merchandise to the wholesale network by following up with warehouse and client and ensuring that the collection is well represented;
  • Monitor shipping and customer service
  • Act as brand ambassador and suggest relevant marketing actions
  • Provide regular sales analysis and collection feedback; reviewing past season(s) performances individually by account to determine future budgetary plans;
  • Keep abreast of current market trends and practices and make proposals to VP, Wholesale in response to market trends   

 

                                            


Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience, majority of experience in a luxury leather goods company
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Creative and innovative; able to deliver excellence; entrepreneurial- able to take risks and persevere
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Must be able to walk and stand for periods of time when meeting with clients
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally (30% of time)
