Louis Vuitton is seeking an Accountant based in our New York office who will be responsible for the month end accounting close for entities within their Louis Vuitton Americas scope in partnership with the Accounting Manager. This will be accomplished by the review and analysis of accounts, preparation of financial statements, and complete financial reporting. In addition, the preparation and recording of monthly activity including but not limited to banking activity, tax activity, accruals, deferrals, amortization of prepaid expenses and the recording and analysis of intercompany transactions is an essential responsibility of this role

This collaborative role frequently partners with Accounts Payable and Sales Audit to manage their activity, posting, and timely account reconciliations while streamlining and documenting the processes. The Accountant will utilize their deep dive analysis skills to review expenses to identify cost saving opportunities in their entities and for reconciling GL accounts related to taxation for entities in their scope.

With extensive experience with complex bank and accounting reconciliations, you will be responsible for bank reconciliation, clearing reconciling items, and assist with process changes to reduce reconciliation issues. In addition, you will prepare, analyze, and reconcile accounts related to your assigned areas on a monthly basis while also evaluating account activity to identify errors and make subsequent corrections based on the nature of the account


We are eager to speak to professionals who possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with three to five years' experience in Accounting, preferably with CPA certification.   In addition, the ideal candidacy has the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, possesses an eye for detail, is deadline oriented and has excellent communication and writing skills. Working knowledge of SAP, in depth experience with complex banking and accounting reconciliations, advanced Excel skills, and previous retail industry experience and/or multinational company experience are a plus.
