Position

General Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner must have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all facets of Human Resources in a retail environment including but not limited to: employee relations, company policy and procedure compliance, HR field educational training, and performance management for all retail field boutiques in North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively partner with field management to support all HR functions— particularly employee relations and performance management, coaching and counseling
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations and maintaining records
  • Act as a liaison for all employees concerning the communication and reinforcement of company policies, procedures and compliance. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment practices
  • Be highly familiar with FMLA and leave processes on the federal, state and local level. Work with Sr. Manager of Compensation and Benefits to ensure leaves administered in a fair and compliant manner
  • Conduct boutique visits to offer education and training on HR policy and procedure and assist in maintaining HR information on associates at store and departmental level.
  • Respond to employee relations issues, policy and procedure compliance
  • Act as a company role model in line with all policies, procedures and processes, constantly looking for new ways to improve effectiveness and execution

  • Strong accurate listener with highly detail-oriented written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates an immediate sense of urgency as well as flexibility
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple responsibilities and projects in a timely manner
  • Effective team player and partner who is energetic and passionate about our brand and company
  • Training and presentation skills
  • PC proficient (Microsoft Office)

Education and Experience Required

  • Retail experience required (multi-store, multi-state)
  • BA in Human Resources or related field of study or years of experience
  • 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
