The Senior Key Account Director is responsible for achieving overall business and P&L objective of new business channels within Benefit. He/She - is responsible for leading, deploying and managing a new business channel. In collaboration with the EVP of Global Retail, the Senior Key Account Director will manage the development, deployment, the forecasts, supply chain and on-going operations of New Business Development projects. In addition, the Senior Key Account Director will liaise with key partners, like Zoom Systems, and manage daily interactions while reinforcing Benefit's DNA throughout the partnership. This includes ensuring that the DNA is adhered to in creative development and managing the implementation and deployment of Benefit ZoomShops. The Senior Key Account Director will be responsible for ensuring that the 4 keys to success are adhered to: Aesthetics, Location, Assortment, and Measurement. Will manage and develop Account Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
> Manage topline business objectives and P&L goals for new business channels
> Serve as the main liaison with partners such as Zoom Systems and lead interactions while ensuring that the DNA is adhered to in creative development, managing the implementation and deployment of Benefit ZoomShops
> Manage and mentor an Account Manager
> Present Benefit DNA, brand strategy to all potential new location teams and present strategic initiatives at a global level with a roll out of the automated machines in the USA and Canada,
> Manage location procurement by leading key location scouting and provide recommendations on best space & locations to internal executive teams
> Lead timeline process for location negotiation and ensure critical path dates are met on timely manner
> Own P&L analysis on consistent basis and ensure P&L model is adhered to and proactively resolve any variances
> Drive P&L analysis on potential locations prior to confirming visits to locations
> Drive P&L reconciliation once location is secured
> Work closely with Benefit Digital and Zoom Digital to deploy an efficient Graphical User Interface (GUI) to maximize customer engagement while communicating Benefit's DNA
> Lead location-sourcing process by implementing a scalable framework for assessing locations.
> Collaborate with Zoom operations and supply chain to manage the planogram process, including product selection, dispense testing, and sales velocity analysis to optimize facings & product assortment
> Lead the location build-out process with Zoom and internal cross-functional teams
> Interface with Creative Services to develop and produce ZoomShops' aesthetics and add-ons to communicate the Benefit DNA and maintain the perception of Benefit's prestige
> Collaborate with IT, finance and logistics to create a seamless process for orders and receipts through the ZoomShops
> Lead the integration of ZoomShop customer payments and inventory/settlement with the current Benefit systems by collaborating IT, finance, logistics, and supply chain
> Work closely with Zoom and cross-functional Benefit team to cohesively execute a stage-ship process where replenishment is smoothly executed
> Monitor and execute Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to create a framework for evaluating the success of the Benefit Automated Retail Program
> Continually measure and analyze weekly sales, demand, supply, inventory levels, obsolescence, sell-through, and digital interactions to identify key insights and report to management
> Provide analytics to assess the success of the Benefit Automated Retail Program and provide recommendations based on the findings
> Analyze incoming customer service calls to determine the best vendor for initial intake of calls
> Monitor the performance of each Benefit ZoomShop through data provided to uncover opportunities to increase profitability
> Evaluate consumer buying patterns and habits to recommend more efficient solutions, including planogram changes, location optimization, and product line changes
> Recommend and implement customer surveys to provide insights for best next steps
> Audit Zoom pass-through expenses to ensure that it is within contract expectations
> All other duties as assigned.
> Minimum 5+ years of experience in account management, business development and/or client services with prior team management experience.
> Bachelor's degree required
> Strong project management and finance experience
> Ability to work cross-functionally with several different departments & all levels of the organization
> Ability to execute deployment and ensure execution in a way that resonates Benefit DNA
> Can multi-task and prioritize, with a sense of urgency
> Outstanding presentation and communication skills
> Proven track record of high level of detail & organizational skills
> Ability to build and maintain relationships internally & externally
> Prior experience in P&L management
> Must be strategic thinker with ability to leverage market knowledge and partner feedback to work and develop go to market strategies.
