MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

Works with VP of Merchandising in all phases of planning and analyzing entire men product category of Fendi North America's business - product training, selling skills training, inventory management, replenishment of permanent products, sales forecasting, product selection, market research, retail marketing activities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs the buys in  partnership with the VP of Merchandising in Italy 4 times a year based on product feedback, historical data and seasonal trends

Prepares and carries out seasonal training presentations for all FNA stores. 

  • Works with VP on all phases of trunk shows and other in store retail events (new product launches, promotions...)
  • Provides product and selling skills training to store level associates before and during the season
  • Generates in-depth analyses of men business and recommends changes to maximize business opportunities with in all stores
  • Prepares detailed sales reports and projections based on history, current trends and market forecasts
  • Prepares competitive market studies focusing on products, pricing and stores
  • Assists VP with development and monitoring of key financial data
  • Prepares and maintains OTB
  • Evaluates stock levels to establish action plan; generates reorders and initiates stock balancing when needed
  • Shop the competition for trends and product opportunities. Acts as expert on customer, marketplace and product for Fendi North American region

Profile

PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8-10 years minimum of fashion buying experience, including relevant experience in initiating concepts and ideas
  • Minimum of 4 years in men's category
  • Familiarity with analyzing and understanding market trends
  • Negotiation, analytical, and planning/organization skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization
  • Proven interpersonal skills, ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Computer skills (MS Office and merchandise-related systems
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Italian language a plus
