Position

  • Develop and deliver an effective Communications Strategy including collections and product launches, campaigns, shows, company website, social media platforms, press days, public relations, internal communication, and corporate events. 
  • Driving media interest in the Nicholas Kirkwood brand
  • Establishing a consistent tone across all activities, both online and offline, web and social media, as well as personal appearances and brand events
  • Create the seasonal Communications plan and deliver against the set targets on editorial, features, celebrity seeding and events across target markets.
  • Cultivate a community of loyal brand ambassadors both on and offline exploring and leveraging all channels to find the niche influencers and publishers (both print and digital) that are most relevant to NK
  • Develop that cult like community while also being able to balance a broad fashion publications base to spread awareness beyond that core audience, and to increase overall brand recognition.
  • Work closely with the Art department as well as the cross-functional marketing team to help deliver high-impact integrated communications and campaigns.
  • Form partnerships with and manage the external PR agencies globally and cultivate relationships with all key press and strategic contacts where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Art Direction Department to define key themes, messages and marketing materials and programs.
  • Keep informed of developments in the fields of communications and public relations
  • Be responsible for innovative communications opportunities, brand collaborations etc.
  • Collaborating with key wholesale partners to drive regional brand awareness
  • Create and maintain a structured Press calendar detailing events, new product launches, shows and campaigns.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends. 
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director and the Sales team, enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations for the wholesale partners. 
  • With the support of the CMO, build and manage the Communications budget.
  • Negotiate advertorial and advertising space within agreed budgets and timing.
  • Explore all opportunities for sponsorship and manage the relationship with any potential sponsor to ensure maximum revenue is generated for appropriate return for LFW show
  • Assist with the execution of all event activity, to drive brand awareness and value.
  • Support seasonal show planning and other press and digital communications related activities
  • Manage, develop and drive the PR Assistant

Profile

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Communications for a leading luxury brand or communications agency
  • Extensive UK and International media contacts
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media
  • Excellent communications and time management skills, must have polished media relations skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a team, organize, prioritize and multitask effectively
  • The ideal candidate must have an awareness of and appreciation for how the digital landscape is affecting PR.
