The Senior Brand Manager position allows you the rare opportunity to shape the future of both brands by creating and implementing full 360* plans, from business strategy to PR and consumer development.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Brand Planning - 30% Lead brand planning process for 2 brands. Develop programs, activations and tools to establish Krug & Ruinart as the most desired boutique champagnes in the US, in line with budget targets and PMT ambitions. - Identify gaps in Maison plans for US market needs, and propose creative, consumer focused solutions - Own the quality of the brand performance: - Enforce and monitor a strict distribution strategy to maintain brand image and desirability - Manage Brand Ambassadors & Specialists programs to ensure KPIs are met and ROI maximized - Conduct monthly, quarterly and ad hoc brand performance analyses to drive effective decision making - Act nimbly to propose creative solutions to business challenges as they arise - Support Communications Director in developing PR-driving initiatives and events - Create clear, compelling, visually impactful presentations that excite, inspire and engage key stakeholders Communications - 25% Lead development of all brand events and partnerships aimed at increasing both brands' awareness in the US. Collaborate with sales regions and external agencies to ensure flawless execution adhering to brand guidelines. - Ruinart: 7 Art Fairs, yearlong cultural initiatives (New INC, NYC Ballet), art galleries...), Winemaker/Maison visits - Krug: Krug Encounters, VIC events, Winemaker/Maison visits - Maintain effective project and timeline management for all programs and events Business & Financials - 25% Manage 2 businesses through data analysis, relationships with the Sales teams, and insights from the marketplace to regularly update internal teams on the state of the business and its drivers. - Efficiently manage and analyze large datasets (MHBiz, Qlik), creating bespoke analysis models where required to derive insights that inform the planning process and support the Sales team - Own, manage and track A&P and FTT budgets, ensuring spend is prioritized strategically, and lead monthly budget reviews - Manage supply chain and operations, including Sales forecasting (S&OP), allocations and inventory - Understand competitive performance and drivers, developing a clear view on implications for our brand strategy - Lead the financial analysis and presentation of Monthly and Quarterly Business Review meetings (MBR/QBR) Trade Marketing - 10% Translate brand strategies into concrete tools and action, ensuring cross-functional teams have the assets they need - on time and on budget - to build our brands at the Trade and Consumer level. - Manage current and develop new trade programs (ie. personalization, BTG tool) and supporting assets (ie. sell sheets, activation guidelines) - Manage orders and allocations of POSM for deployment in the Regions - Develop KPIs to track and measure program effectiveness, reporting in a timely manner of effectiveness and ROI - Meet all deadlines set by internal teams (Trade Marketing, E-retail, Clos 19) Leadership - 10% - Be an assertive and respected player within MHUSA and Maison, building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, to earn share of mind and support - Manage 2 VIEs - 1 per brand - to support you on all projects, and be a mentor and champion for their career development - Leverage the wider team structure, delegating (agencies, Coordinator) and managing up (Directors) to ensure most efficient deployment of time and resource against priorities - Be a brand champion, ensuring the brand personalities and positioning are reflected in everything you do - Develop strong product expertise and understand our Consumers and the Trade by spending time in market
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED : Education: Marketing or Business degree preferred Languages: English, working knowledge of French a plus Professional experience & know how: - 7+ years brand management experience in alcoholic beverage or luxury environment; wine knowledge a plus - Proven leadership and management capabilities through interpersonal skills and relationship building - Strong skills in project, budget and timeline management - Strong computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, plus learn proprietary software programs - Strong sense of aesthetics, luxury, and have an attention to detail - Passion for food, wine, art and/ or luxury lifestyle
