MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE
Direct the physical distribution process of a highly mechanized, 255,000 sq. ft distribution center servicing major domestic retailers and international shipping points with full budgetary, staffing, production scheduling responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage overall operation of the Cranbury Distribution Center with a staff of 150 regular employees and up to 175+ temporary staff. Departments include: Receiving, Replenishment, RF zone Picking, Inventory Control, Process, Reverse Logistics, Maintenance, Shipping and Traffic departments. Facility operates on two shifts 5 days per week currently
Ensure customer orders are picked within scheduled time
Seek to reduce order turn around time and reduce labor hours
B to C order management and prioritization
Insure inventory accuracy of 99.2% or greater.
Ensure ISO program/procedures are enforced
Ensure Lean and Quality programs are enforced
Ensure proper staffing levels are met to meet demands of business and within budget
Ensure line balancing guidelines are met
Facility planning and engineering using Visio or Auto CAD tools
Responsible for the management (technical aspects) of all the facilities and office spaces.
Lead productivity improvement plans with continuous monitoring of work standards and creation of new standards when needed
Manage short and long term-capacity plans.
Organize launch capacity plans.
Insure safe, secure and professional distribution environment.
PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Bachelor's Degree required
10+ years experience in Distribution Management
Industrial engineering experience helpful
Extensive WMS experience required (Manhattan Associates SCALE) with system design experience helpful
Automated/mechanized environment experience required
Understanding of work standards required (TMS or MOST)
RF environment required
Knowledge of consumer products industry - preferably cosmetics
Knowledge of French a plus, Spanish required
Strong oral and written communication skills
