Louis Vuitton is seeking a Tax Manager to support the Louis Vuitton Americas Tax team based in our New York City office. This person will responsible for sales and use tax regulatory compliance, sales tax audits and assisting with technical analysis and compliance for income tax, Transfer Pricing, and all Louis Vuitton intercompany related-party transactions for all Louis Vuitton Americas zone brands. The Tax Manager will also manage and coordinate all tax audits, tax inspections, information flow for timely filing of all personal property tax and commercial rent tax filings. This person will collaborate with the Tax/ Compliance director on US and Canada Customs compliance topics and customs audits, audit defense, and technical analyses, including Duty Drawback.
Additionally, the Tax Manager will monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the Tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation. This person will also be responsible for reconciling tax accounts in the SAP general ledger and will maintain all Louis Vuitton retail store business licenses for all store jurisdictions. Using strong analytical skills this person will perform technical analytics to critically analyze internal sales and use tax procedures to see what can be optimized.
The Tax Manager role would best suit an individual with 5+ years' experience with Tax in a corporate or public accounting setting or a combination of both, with a Bachelors' degree in Accounting. Master's in taxation is preferred. With strong communication, both oral and written, you have the ability to work transversally with other departments. The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy, proficient understanding of various tax-related software systems like Vertex and SAP. Additionally, strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
