Travel Retail Assistant Sales Development Manager will be responsible to drive the TR operations and sales performances for Benefit TR in Hong Kong & Macau.



  • Under Brand General Manager Supervision, Building and implementing business plan & an optimized trade plan for DFS and Airports, in Hong Kong and Macau
  • Achieve monthly/ yearly sales target
  • Develop and Execute Marketing activities to achieve sales goals. Work closely with Marketing team
  • Reporting on brand's performance and market trends on a weekly & monthly basis for HK & Macau
  • Minimum 60% of time on field


-- Management --

  • Recruit, develop and motivate a team of Beauty Advisors and managing a Sales and training delegate
  • Collaborate with DFS for field staff evaluation and staff recruitment on monthly basis
  • Lead by example, Run a day on counter using 8 Steps magic formula
  • Orient new staff, develop and retain BA


-- Commercial: sell-out --

  • Set-up sell-out target by door
  • Build promotion plan and validate with GM before sending to retailers, follow-up after retailers' meetings
  • Follow-up and validate with GM  promotion plan including:
    • Trade plan + special events
    • Incentives + estimate impact on budget
    • GWP based on left-over usage to minimize budget over-spending
    • POSM usage
  • Present to Retailers:  launch plan + action plans if applicable and updates
  • Be pro-active, share best practices internally and make proposals to drive top line performances


-- Commercial: sell-in --

  • Control, follow up and analyse stock level: review orders, suggested quantities, recommendations to DFS based on stock coverage, planogram, animation plan, etc.
  • Ensure all POSM, testers and GWP are ordered on time and in a controlled way
  • Work and Follow-up on novelty order and inline products forecasts based on Global and Local marketing recommendations


-- Merchandising --

  • Ensure the brand image is at its best level in all locations
  • Propose any optimization ideas to VM team for review and implementation
  • Make sure that all renovations, new counters projects are timely managed with operators, contractors, and Regional Visual Merchandising team
  • Work with the Global TR team and Local marketing on the optimized assortment for Local TR market


-- Animations --

  • Set targets for each special event (BC, OCE, MU event pads...)
  • Work with the Local Marketing team for the brief and the promotion budget
  • Ensure the set-up follow the brand guidelines + different timelines constraints (retailer / contractor)
  • Consolidate promotions results (quanti+quali+P&L of animation) based also on BAs and DFS feedbacks + elaborate recommendation, action plan based on best-practices and key learnings
  • Anticipate and monitor animations expenses and optimize costs whenever it is possible


-- Reports/Analysis --

  • Monthly sales report : per door with store trends & competitors benchmark
  • Weekly sales update
  • Provide Finance and GM with all requested files such as: working files, Promotion plan, door profile, etc.
  • Details of expenses based on budget plan to enable PO creation
  • Various analysis upon requests





  • University degree holder or equivalent academic qualifications
  • 5 years retail experience, minimum 2 years related to travel retail
  • Cosmetics experience preferred
  • Proven sales and service track record
  • Fluent English and Mandarin and Cantonese - speaking, reading, and writing
  • Proficient at reading and analyzing numbers
  • Interpersonal skills in customer service
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient computer skills - Word, Excel, Power-point
  • Flexibility regarding working hours
