POSITION PURPOSE:

Sephora Middle East is recruiting a National Makeup Artist, based in Sephora University Dubai. 
The main responsibility of this role is to support the development of the store Makeup team through in-store coaching, training, mentoring and assessment (approx. 60% of time). Other tasks will include delivery of Sephora University Makeup training modules (in-class and digital), support training content creation (including videos), be involved in brand training organization and some admin tasks. The role requires strong collaboration with Retail & Store Managers to support the learning and development of the store Makeup team. The National Makeup Artist will also support cross-functional events (with Marketing/PR and HR), sometimes leading other Makeup Artists/PRO team members. 
This is a regional role that will require to travel within the GCC region (Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain & Oman) 1 to 2 times per month (duration up to 6-8 days in cumulative).

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Coaching & Support at store level

•    Visit Sephora stores on a weekly basis to support with follow up, coaching and assessment.
•    Develop the store Makeup team through feedback and coaching on makeup techniques, application, selling speech, Sephora Attitude and new product launches.
•    Partner with Retail & Store Managers to share and align on feedback, development plan and follow-up actions through meetings and reports.
•    Support assessments of the identified talents.

 

Makeup Education 
•    Work with the Makeup & Artistry Talent Manager to build and review training plan and calendar.
•    Deliver some of our Sephora University Makeup training modules (in-class and digital).
•    Support in leveraging makeup artistry and expertise by teaching about makeup trends, services, makeup techniques, selling techniques, cross category and product knowledge.
•    Track development, progress and learning of the store Makeup team.
•    Follow-up and support engagement of the store Makeup team with our digital Sephora Learning App.


Makeup Brand Training
•    Manage admin tasks related to Makeup brand trainings (store visits, digital trainings, attendee lists, testers’ requests…).
•    Support in delivering content of multi-brand trainings organized internally.
•    Support Makeup brands digital trainings.
•    Support organization and monitoring of Makeup Masterclass training with involved brands.
•    Support yearly Makeup Education events (Community, Brand Conventions…).

 

Collaboration & Communication with business partners
•    Store & Retail Management – share feedback, align on business, priorities & support needed at store level.
•    KSA National Makeup Artists – collaboration, exchange of best practices and learning from each other’s
•    HR – support in providing feedback on the store Makeup team and for HR-organized events
•    Makeup Offer team – tight collaboration at all times to align on priorities & needs
•    Marketing/PR – participate/lead shoots and events, acting as a true Sephora Ambassador.

 

SKILLS AND QUALITIFCATIONS:
•    Exceptional artistry skills – being a Sephora Senior MUA or MUA for 5+ years
•    Has proven records of coaching and developing team members 
•    Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills
•    Locally mobile (will travel within the UAE on regular basis – driving license & car is required) and able to travel regionally (Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain & Oman)
•    Collaborative, flexible, adaptable, resilient, open to feedback and self-motivated
