General Purpose of the Position:

We are seeking an Assistant Planner to join our Retail Merchandising Team at Loro Piana. This dynamic individual will assist with the strategic financial planning, data analysis, and forecasting of our product lines to meet commercial targets and secure product replenishment.  With strong analytical aptitude, you will be a key member of the Merchandising Team to drive success through strategic planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Planning Mgr with all forecasting activities, data analysis and corresponding action plans to support North America sales ambitions.
  • Support demand planning forecasting activities for the permanent replenishment program via regular updates to the forecast by sku, to inform HQ of production need to sustain sales in region.
  • Review and adjust target stock levels of underperforming or overperforming SKU’s, calculating need for healthy MOC, taking into consideration seasonal trend.
  • Support Merchandisers with monthly product forecasting, partnering with HQ to ensure replenishment needed to sustain regional sales targets.
  • Support the seasonal OTB planning process, 2x per year in partnership with HQ Retail Merchandising.
  • Support the Merchandisers during the buy campaigns, helping to craft buys aligned to required KPI’s.
  • Define store goals by product line, in partnership with the Retail team, to ensure topside financial targets are being met.
  • Support buyers when needed in performing stock consolidations by store to optimize stock distribution and sales, monitoring related costs and benefits.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • General understanding of retail merchandising planning, forecasting, retail math, business analysis & inventory management
  • Excellent analytical ability, unparalleled accuracy, ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines at once, ability to summarize and action data, ability to create ad hoc reporting
  • Detailed Oriented, Data Driven, Highly Organized
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle shifting priorities
  • Understanding of the luxury retail environment and processes
  • Ability to comfortably navigate ambiguity and evolving directives

 

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel (exam will be given)
  • Knowledge of Analytics/Reporting tools (Power BI, Anaplan) preferred

 

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • 1-2 years of retail planning experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation

Loro Piana uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market-competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, Loro Piana reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 USD per year.
