Mission Statement:

As the Senior Finance & Accounting Manager you will be a key leader in our finance team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the accounting and reporting functions. This role requires a seasoned accounting professional with a deep understanding of financial processes, strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Responsabilità del ruolo

Responsibilities:

Team Management

-Supervise and mentor a team of skilled accountants, including 3 manager / assistant managers (16 staff in total).

-Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

-Foster collaboration with other departments to enhance cross-functional understanding and efficiency.

Financial Reporting

-Lead the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial statements in collaboration with the controlling team.

-Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements through effective communication with the regulatory offices.

-Respond to inquiries from the head office(s), providing comprehensive and timely information to meet the reporting requirements.

 

Month-end and Year-end Close

-Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.

-Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Process Optimization

-Continuously review and enhance accounting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

-Design and drive implementation of systems improvements.

-Implement best practices to streamline financial operations.

Internal Controls

-Develop and monitor internal control to safeguard company assets, collaborating with Internal Control department.

-Ensure adherence to established financial policies and procedures

Profilo

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA or audit firm a must. (Minimum 5-10 years)
• Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in a foreign company.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in both English and Japanese.
