Berluti, the only men's Maison in the LVMH Group, was born in Paris in 1895 and has grown through four successive generations of the Berluti family, cultivating the art of excellence and craftsmanship in shoes, while developing a passion for leather and patina.

In 2005, the Maison launched its leather goods collection and, in 2011, a ready-to-wear collection.

Today, the collections of clothing and shoes, both made-to-measure and ready-to-wear, and a wide range of accessories offer an innovative lifestyle while keeping the Berluti spirit.

 

BERLUTI is currently looking for a full-time Client Advisor to be based in its shop-in-shop in Bergdorf Goodman, NY. He/she will report to the Retail Team of Berluti North America and functionally to the Wholesale Area Manager based in Paris.

The Client Advisor will be a true Ambassador of Berluti and key liaison to maximize all sales opportunities while maintaining Berluti standards in all areas at Bergdorf Goodman.

He/she will engage the clients in Berluti universe with enthusiasm and passion by providing unique experience, by implementing Maison’s best practices while operating within a department store environment.

Responsabilità del ruolo

Brand Ambassador:

  • Act as a true Ambassador of Berluti by having a hand in all operations related to Bergdorf Goodman (sales, clients, stock, quality issues, Visual Merchandising etc…). This role will require relaying and projecting the Maison’s values and standards to all levels of the Bergdorf Goodman to ensure continuity of retail excellence within the store.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active role on the selling floor and engaging Bergdorf Goodman team.
  • Partner with the Bergdorf Goodman sales team on an appropriate outreach strategy for new merchandise.
  • Demonstrate strong product expertise and passion.
  • Assist and support after sales service in accordance with Berluti values through partnership with retail network.
  • Be aware of the industry news and competitors.
  • Maintain the Visual Merchandising standards and the store condition daily as set forth by the HQ team.
  • Instruct Bergdorf Goodman sales team on VM standards to ensure products are displayed qualitatively.
  • Create brand-appropriate opportunities for additional in-store exposure (mannequins, windows, display cases, etc.).
  • Maintain care of shop environment (products – through “glaçage” polishing technique, fixtures, lighting, damages) as well as visual tools.
  • You will have to be a strong collaborator with both Wholesale and Supply Chain teams in Paris, Regional Office in NY and Bergdorf Goodman store retail staff and management.

 

Sales Management:

  • Welcome visitors and transform them into customers whilst delivering Berluti’s culture and creating an extraordinary and unique experience with a high level of service.
  • Build and maintain clientele.
  • Be up to date with the Maison’s news and acquire Berluti technical skills for sales and products, information and History knowledge.
  • Increase turnover to meet monthly, seasonal, and annual objectives.
  • Improve seasonal sell-through to meet targets for each category.
  • Involvement with every client interaction to act as the manager and partner with Bergdorf Goodman Sales Associates to close each sale.
  • Challenge the BG sales staff by reaching sales objectives.
  • Complete the necessary administration according to the policies in place.

 

Customer service and CRM:

  • Ensure the highest level of Customer Service, complying with Berluti’s quality standards, and to the selling ceremony.
  • Cultivate new and existing relationships by keeping records of client purchase history to understand client needs.
  • Appointments: work with the sales team to understand the appointment schedule for the day and what stock items can be shown to the client
  • Events: liaise with internal management to create opportunities for seasonal in-store selling events to bring customers to the store with respect to the brand image

 

Operations:

  • Participate in regular inventory counts and in necessary supply stocking/restocking.
  • Fully manage stock operations inclusive of receiving issues, returns, and inventory location
  • Ensure all products are client-ready and packaging standards are met
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and shrink rates within Berluti’ standards.

 

Training:

  • Fully engaged with the available training materials provided by HQ
  • Train sales staff on collection each season through morning meetings, and continually train the staff through Q&A and styling/wardrobing options
  • Present new product deliveries to staff as they are received to ensure they offer them to their clients

 

Profilo

Profile:

  • 3 years minimum of experience in luxury retail.
  • You are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • You are an agile talent with a positive mindset and excellent cross-selling skills.
  • Action oriented.
  • Demonstrate teamwork at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, second language such as Spanish, Arabic etc. is a plus.
  • IT skills

 

The appointed candidate will be offered an hourly salary in the range of USD $23,.00 - $25.00 plus the opportunity for a bonus and commissions, and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions​​.
