Posizione

-Serve as the key manager in the finance and accounting department of the company, which covers 6 individual Maisons and 1 back- office division.

-Strategically lead and execute Accounts Receivable projects.

-Deliver solutions that drive financial efficiency.

-Assist in establishing and maintaining adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with group rules and regulations.

-Proactively identify and suggest operational improvements and enhancements to achieve process optimization within the finance function.

Responsabilità del ruolo

Accounting Operation Management and Process Improvement:

➢ Lead and develop a team of 4 members in the AR team, coordinating effectively with inside and outside stakeholders to optimize order-to-cash and accounts receivable processes.

➢ Proactively analyze existing order-to-cash and accounts receivable processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

➢ Design and implement optimized processes, leveraging best practices and appropriate technological solutions to drive operational excellence.

➢ Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, policies, and procedures.

➢ Facilitate regular knowledge-sharing sessions and establish a centralized repository for best practices and common issues, fostering continuous improvement within the team.

Project Leadership and Management:

➢ Lead the planning, execution, and closure of finance and accounting projects, including system implementations (e.g., SAP, accounting software upgrades), process re-engineering, and new policy rollouts.

➢ Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

➢ Manage project teams, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards including compliance with internal policies and regulations.

➢ Implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems and processes.

System Implementation and Optimization:

➢ Oversee the implementation, configuration, and integration of new financial systems.

➢ Collaborate with IT, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless system functionality and data integrity.

➢ Identify opportunities for system enhancements and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Stakeholder Communication and Management:

➢ Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.

➢ Communicate project updates, challenges, and successes effectively to all relevant parties.

➢ Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and meetings to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

Profilo

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. MBA or relevant Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:
➢ More than 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or audit roles, with at least 3 years in a project management capacity.

➢ Proven experience in leading successful finance and accounting system implementations (e.g., ERP, financial planning software).

➢ Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.

➢ Demonstrated experience in process improvement and change management.

➢ Proficiency in financial software and project management tools.

➢ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

➢ Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.

➢ Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

➢ Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
➢ Experience in retail industry.

➢ Knowledge of automation tools and technologies relevant to finance and accounting.

➢ US CPA and/or PMP certification or equivalent.

Language: Fluent in Japanese and English
