Chaumet is looking for a Logistics Specialist for its Middle East regional office in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for managing the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods throughout an organization's supply chain and logistics function.

He/She will be responsible for optimizing logistics operations through data analysis, project implementation, and team leadership.

This role combines analytical skills with project management expertise to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall logistics performance.

Les missions

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management

  • Overseeing the entire shipment process from pick-up to delivery.
  • Tracking shipments, updating status in databases, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery
  • Troubleshooting and resolving supply chain issues such as shortages, delays, damaged boxes.
  • Developing distribution plans and coordinating with all stakeholders for timely and cost-effective replenishment.


Process Improvement:

  • Review existing supply and logistics processes and procedures, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, recommend and implement improvements to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Analyse logistics performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to understand, predict, and control supply & logistics operations and processes.
  • Evaluating and selecting transportation vendors and carriers based on performance, cost, and reliability.


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Use analytical methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations to management.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times and costs.

Cost Optimization:

  • Review and analyze transportation costs, parts procurement, delivery processes and other fulfilment metrics.
  • Optimizing supply chain transportation routes, consolidating shipments, or negotiating better rates with suppliers.
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce logistics costs while maintaining service quality.


Communication and Collaboration:

  • Effectively communicating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, internal departments, and transportation providers.
  • Collaboration is crucial to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.

 

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain transportation and last-mile delivery operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations

Votre profil

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years progressive work experience in a logistics role.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and PowerBI
  • Knowledge of shipping and distribution channels, inventory management principles, and transportation regulations.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
