Your Role at Sephora
 

As an Assistant Manager, Social & PR, you will be responsible for executing Sephora’s events and brand partner social strategy, that drive awareness & credible consideration vs competition across Southeast Asia & Oceania.
 

This dynamic role encompasses event planning, and developing brand partner social toolkits. The ideal candidate will be an organised, and results-oriented individual with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
 

You will report to the Senior Manager, Social & PR and collaborate across departments to ensure consistent brand messaging and impactful online representation. This involves supporting the execution of social media strategies and leading all aspects of PR events. You will work with external vendors and internal teams to gather and analyse social media trends (both micro and macro) to inform campaign support and program enhancements. You will also assist in collaborations with brand partners, with a particular emphasis on supporting Only@Sephora brands to enhance the visibility within our broader social media efforts.
 

You must have in-depth knowledge, understanding and experience in events and social landscape within SEA and Oceania, and preferably experience and/or interest in beauty.
 

The successful candidate should be able to harness their understanding of best practices and trends in events and social media management to position Sephora as a leader vs competition in the digital landscape.
 

Key Responsbilities

  • Observe the latest social developments and trends within the beauty industry (notably vs key competitors) and design event and brand social strategies to best drive and engagement and social share of voice for specific regions/countries within SEA & Oceania region within the earned and owned space.
  • Lead the strategic vision and planning for impactful events by shaping and executing PR events that earn credible attention and generate impactful press and creator content.
  • Manage all event logistics from a regional perspective, including vendor negotiation and toolkits deployment, while also creating and overseeing budgets, timelines, and contracts.
  • Lead as main social & PR contact for all brand partners, developing a toolkit and advising brands on how to win at Sephora from an events and social POV to achieve mutually beneficial business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Deliver on time post-mortem reports providing comprehensive performance and analysis for all events and brand campaigns.
  • Lead reciprocal partnerships cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization: Marketing (Marketing Leadership team, Integrated Marketing, Creative, CRM & Loyalty & Customer Experience).

We’re Excited About You If You

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in events, public relations, marketing, communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing, public relations or a related field
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing events and brand management strategies and campaigns, and developing creative and engaging content for multiple brands/stakeholders
  • Experience with social media analytics and ability to identify key insights and optimization opportunities from the data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with expertise in creating compelling content across social media platforms
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices, trends and technologies
  • Above average analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, presentation and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with cross functional partners or clients to meet their business needs
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple detail-oriented projects and to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to approach projects with a can-do attitude and create process where there isn't one
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Understands the importance of team culture and dynamics
