Belong to Something Beautiful

At Sephora, beauty is about feeling seen, valued, and empowered, individually and collectively. It is connecting deeply with others, celebrating diversity and inclusivity, unlocking your potential, and making a difference every day. Together, we belong to something beautiful.

Your Role at Sephora
Ready for a career glow up? As Retail Technology Manager, you’ll own the store-facing lifecycle of technology programs and projects, from intake, prioritization, and business requirements through launch, adoption, ongoing support, and continuous improvement. The work you do will impact beauty, as you translate enterprise technology strategies into clear, practical solutions that improve store operations, reduce workload, and give store teams more time to focus on clients.
You’ll be part of the Retail Technology team, united in beauty and supported by partners who are equally passionate about delivering secure, reliable, and innovative technology experiences across Sephora stores. Serving as a store operations subject matter expert, you’ll collaborate with Retail, Technology, Digital, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Infrastructure, and other cross-functional teams to ensure technology initiatives are operationally sound and easy for stores to adopt and sustain.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the store-facing vision, scope, prioritization, business requirements, and execution plans for technology initiatives across assigned areas of responsibility, including reporting, store hardware, information security, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
  • Translate enterprise strategies, technical requirements, business partner requests, store use cases, operational challenges, and risk considerations into actionable requirements, launch criteria, support models, and success measures.
  • Lead pilots, proofs of concept, launches, and deployments for new or enhanced store technology capabilities.
  • Build comprehensive change-management plans that address store workload, communications, training, documentation, operational readiness, adoption, and post-launch reinforcement.
  • Partner with Technology, Infrastructure, Network, Desktop Support, Information Security, Product, Engineering, and Retail teams to ensure solutions meet store-operating needs, security requirements, and support expectations.
  • Own day-to-day business oversight and store-facing execution for assigned technology programs, tools, and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain store-facing operating processes, service expectations, readiness checklists, communications, training materials, and support documentation.
  • Lead the intake and prioritization of assigned technology requests through the Retail operating model, evaluating business value, store impact, workload, security requirements, change-management needs, and infrastructure dependencies.
  • Troubleshoot and triage store technology issues with stores, Technology teams, the Help Desk, and cross-functional partners; identify trends, recommend solutions, and escalate material risks.
  • Clearly define store impact, severity, urgency, business value, and operational risk to drive the prioritization and resolution of incidents, recurring issues, enhancements, hardware replacements, and access or security needs.
  • Monitor ticketing, store feedback, performance data, and escalation trends to identify opportunities to improve technology reliability, usability, support, and store execution.
  • Define KPIs and use quantitative data, qualitative insights, store observations, adoption measures, and workload considerations to evaluate program performance and influence product roadmaps.
  • Lead post-launch reviews covering adoption, support trends, store feedback, workload impact, lessons learned, and recommended improvements.
  • Provide executive-ready updates on program status, launch readiness, adoption, risks, emerging issues, decisions, and recommended actions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify store processes, reduce operational workload, improve technology reliability, strengthen secure store operations, and increase field adoption.
  • Monitor retail, technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, AI, and consumer trends to develop a clear store point of view and recommend relevant tests, innovations, or investments.
  • Champion the store perspective in cross-functional decisions, ensuring partners understand program priorities, operational implications, risks, ownership, and mitigation plans.

What You’ll Bring
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in retail technology, retail store operations, store systems, technology program management, infrastructure, hardware, networks, desktop support, information security, cybersecurity, change management, or a related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cross-functional technology initiatives, launches, enhancements, risks, and timelines.
  • Deep understanding of retail store processes, day-to-day operations, workload considerations, launch readiness, incident triage, stakeholder alignment, and support-model execution.
  • Experience or working knowledge across reporting platforms, store hardware, information security, cybersecurity, networks, desktop support, infrastructure, and related digital or mobile technologies.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts and business needs into clear requirements, operational guidance, communications, training, documentation, and executive updates for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use performance data, ticket trends, store feedback, adoption measures, and workload impact to influence roadmaps and prioritization.
  • Proven ability to build alignment, influence decisions, and drive accountability across teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Clear written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A passion for client experience, store operations, workload reduction, secure technology practices, and retail innovation.
  • Agility and sound judgment when priorities, risks, or operational requirements change.
  • A collaborative, client-focused approach grounded in curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to delivering results.
