OVERALL, MISSION

The Merchandising Assistant Manager/Manager for the RTW Category at Louis Vuitton is responsible for devising and implementing an effective merchandising strategy to achieve targeted sales and maximize profits within the Japan region.

This role focuses on enhancing product awareness, expanding market share, and improving the market image of the related category.

Les missions

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Merchandising Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive merchandising plan in collaboration with LVM counterparts to meet sales targets and maximize profitability.
  • Sales Performance: Drive sales and sell-through by regularly updating stores on sales turnover and performance metrics. Conduct store visits to gather insights from sales staff and understand customer satisfaction and preferences.
  • Product Feedback: Provide qualitative and quantitative feedback to Paris on product performance to influence the creation of products that cater to the Japanese market demand.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay informed about pricing and product line-up trends.
  • Product Launch Planning: Coordinate new product launches, ensuring pre-launch product training for sales staff in alignment with guidelines from Paris. Share new product information with relevant divisions to ensure a seamless launch process.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control by managing inventory levels per store and facilitating quick transfers among stores as needed.
  • Lead the Women’s Trunk Show: Buy, plan and execute the Trunk Show twice a year in collaboration with retail, and retail planning team

Votre profil

Key Requirements / QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of merchandising experience.
  • Experience in people management and team development.
  • Proficiency in English (TOEIC score of 800 or higher) and Japanese.
  • Strong leadership and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform under stress.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Collaborate with LVM Marketing, Sales Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Engage with major functional heads of LVJ.
  • Coordinate with Store Directors/Managers.

Manage relationships with suppliers, including travel agents and event coordinators.
