The Trade Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with both Marketing and distributor’s teams in developing channel plans from strategy conceptualization, execution, and analysis, to deliver support to the distributor with brand equity and depletion targets; leveraging on the consumer marketing plans/programs. S/he will also be tasked to identify key trade & consumer trends and translate these to business opportunities which will drive brand building for the company.

How you will contribute…

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

1. Trade Marketing Plan Implementation:

  • Implement trade marketing plans/programs, contributing to effective commercial execution.
  • Utilize an understanding of Brands, Commercial & Trade objectives to support plan execution.
  • Apply knowledge of Commercial, Channel, Customer & Outlet dynamics to support successful implementation.
  • Assist in adapting Brand Implementation plans with Trade Implementation by Channel, Customer & Outlet.

2. Channel Plan Support & Execution:

  • Support the execution of channel plans for sales drivers and portfolio activation for Commercial execution by the distributor.
  • Assist with planning for channel activities – short-term activity, event planning and POS deployment.
  • Participate in cycle meetings with the Distributor and Marketing teams.
  • Support the evolution of plans based on market / customer, consumer & competitor dynamics, or Brand changes.

PROGRAM EXECUTION

3. Operational Efficiency & Reporting:

  • Contribute to operational efficiency through budget management, KPI measurement & reporting.
  • Support budget allocation for brands by activity & by customers, applying financial diligence.
  • Participate in the process for measuring and reporting against activity KPIs with feedback, insights sharing & information.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly budget tracking.
  • Work with Commercial teams in conducting business reviews with key trade partners.

4. Collaboration and Ways of Working:

  • Build effective working relationships with the distributor’s teams, supporting Cycle Planned activity & aligned execution expectations.
  • Support collaborative working, aligning Brand aspirations with distributor execution capabilities.
  • Contribute to collaborative working & clear communication with partners or stakeholders, Agencies, Suppliers, Promoters, Customers.

5. POSM, Promotion & Event Support:

  • Work with reliable suppliers that are cost-effective and meet our execution standards.
  • Manage use of Brand Point of Sale material & Assets ensuring detailed execution standards are achieved.
  • Ensure Events promoters & customers deliver the agreed consumer experiences and are aligned to Brand standards.
  • Prepare post-project execution analyses of all key programs implemented in the channel.

Votre profil

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in the consumer industry, preferably with retail experience and a trade/customer/channel marketing background.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and regional teams, demonstrating a good understanding of brands, content, and value propositions.
  • Basic understanding of the luxury goods/Wines & Spirits/Hospitality/Entertainment industry and large brand businesses.
  • Strong planning, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a brand-building mindset and understanding of channel realities.
  • Highly motivated, passionate, energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented, while remaining customer-focused, result-oriented, and hands-on.
  • Tenacious, intrapreneurial, able to thrive in demanding environments, and detail-oriented.
  • Sociable, with the ability to connect with the industry and a positive inclination toward the product.
