Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Commercial Excellence Director will play a pivotal role in leading the annual commercial planning cycle. This involves coordinating between the Commercial Sales Planning and Customer Marketing teams to ensure the brand plan is translated into actionable commercial plans by channel for the Sales team. This role is responsible for both the Commercial Planning/Capability and Customer Marketing functions, ensuring that strategies and goals are directly reflected in sales activities, enabling more effective collaboration and strengthening our customer-centric approach.

How you will contribute…
Commercial Planning and Capabilities
- Commercial Planning: Collaborate with the Customer Marketing team to translate each Maison's brand plan into sales plans for On-Premise and Off-Premise channels, linking them to the sales incentive plans of each sales team.
- Commercial Resource Allocation: Efficiently and effectively allocate sales activity resources (BTL) for each brand to the respective channels and track their performance.
- Commercial Performance Analysis: Utilize Aspire and Power BI to track and review activities and sales performance (such as sell-in, depletion, POS, market share), aiming to generate sales opportunities. Deeply understand the situation of each channel, provide analysis and insights to management to promote data-driven decision-making, and support concrete actions.
Customer Marketing
- Sales Proposal Support: Develop and deploy programs, activation tools, and proposals to achieve channel-specific sales plans for each brand, incorporating feedback from the sales team and referencing sales data performance.
- Brand Visibility: Collaborate with the marketing team and external agencies to lead brand visibility initiatives in key accounts and events, supporting accelerated sales and improved brand desirability.
- Trade Relations Building and Special Projects: Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams in building and growing trade partners engagement and communications programs
- Activity Review and Improvement: Conduct timely verification of the effectiveness of implemented sales activities, share findings with the Marketing team, and implement continuous improvements
Votre profil

- 10+ years of experience in marketing and sales, ideally within the luxury or FMCG sectors
- 5+year of people leadership experience
- Strong commercial acumen, with deep expertise in brand and sales planning, and data analysis and interpretation
- Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and driving organizational change
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
- Solid experience in project management and sales systems implementation or oversight
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification required
- Fluency in both Japanese and English is essential
