Parfums Christian Dior  is a world-renowned luxury beauty Maison, known for its timeless elegance and innovation. Our commitment to excellence extends to our data practices, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Scientist to join our Data Science Team.

 

The impact of data and AI (including Generative AI) is well-established at Dior - key achievements to date:

  • A cutting-edge technology stack (based mainly on GCP, Dataiku, and Python).
  • 20+ algorithms developed to serve 50+ use cases across Client Activation, Retail, Media or e-Commerce (e.g. hyper-targeted and/or personalized customer communications, product recommendations, automated repurchase cycles, anti-churn strategies, high-value prospect identification).
  • Several in-house Generative AI applications now in production.

 

About the Data Science Team

The Data Science team, established 3 years ago, is part of the Data & AI Office.

It consists of a Manager, three Data Scientists, and a Machine Learning Engineer.

 

Main objectives of the Data Science Team:

  • Capitalize on existing algorithms by optimizing them (testing new approaches, etc.) and monitoring them to prevent any drift.
  • Deliver new high-value Data Science use cases for new business areas (e.g. Supply Chain, Finance, etc.).
  • Develop new Generative/Agentic AI applications with significant business impact.
  • Scale use cases to a broader user base and markets.

To achieve these ambitious goals, the Data Science team is seeking a Data Scientist.

Les missions

As a Data Scientist, you will play a central role in the development and optimization of Data Science solutions at Parfums Christian Dior. Your responsibilities include:

  • Exercising leadership in collaboration with stakeholders to understand business needs and define suitable data-driven solutions.
  • Identifying and framing complex Data Science and AI use cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams: business teams, LVMH Beauty Tech (IT), and LVMH (Group).
  • Defining, designing, and implementing Data Science and AI approaches for each use case based on advanced and innovative models.
  • Developing visualization interfaces to enhance model interaction and facilitate user understanding.
  • Establishing robust frameworks for testing and monitoring deployed models, ensuring their continuous effectiveness and performance.
  • Analyzing use case results and presenting them clearly to stakeholders, while documenting processes and analyses to ensure traceability.
  • Actively participating in the industrialization and scaling of models (MLOps), in collaboration with the Machine Learning Engineer.
  • Working with external partners to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Leading proactive technological watch to identify and integrate the latest advances and innovations in Data Science and AI.
  • Animating the Data Science teams at the market level (e.g., Japan), enabling knowledge sharing.

 

Votre profil

  • Graduate from a top Engineering School or holder of a PhD with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence.
  • 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in the luxury, retail, or e-commerce sector.
  • Significant experience and interest in new technologies, particularly Generative and Agentic AI.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English (working languages), a third language would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with business and technical teams.

 

SKILLS

  • Expertise in Traditional AI (Supervised/Unsupervised Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Time Series, Computer Vision, Graph Networks…).
  • Expertise in Generative & Agentic AI.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python and knowledge of best development practices.
  • Mastery of Python libraries (pandas, sklearn, langchain, langgraph, transformers/hugging face, streamlit, deepeval, ragas, tensorflow, pytorch, keras, seaborn, etc.).
  • Expertise in SQL and familiarity with Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Looker Studio).
  • Significant experience on Cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform, a GCP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with collaborative development platforms (GitHub) and ticket management (Jira, Trello).
