To celebrate 50 years in Napa Valley, CHANDON has unveiled a beautiful redesign of its iconic Yountville property.
The new warm and contemporary CHANDON Home proposes all-new experiences inspired by the art of hospitality.
Arnaud de Saignes, President of CHANDON, says: “In our lands, people, and craft, we have always taken the unexpected route. Now we are ready to tell our story, host in the inclusive, informal, and spontaneous way we do best, and to create lasting memories.”
The first of CHANDON’s six sparkling wineries to undergo this transformation, the winery’s Napa home had not been renovated since it opened to guests in 1977. The contemporary redesign by Taalman Architecture focuses on sunlight, texture and a quintessentially Californian ethos. The iconic barrel-shaped roofs now preside over beautifully fluid and inviting indoor/outdoor hosting areas. “It is a journey for the mind and senses, a space that allows one to feel naturally at home,” notes Linda Taalman, founder of the architectural firm.
Guests can choose from an array of bespoke easy-going sensorial, experiences, from farm-to-table tasting menus, private celebrations under sailcloth cabanas, picnic boxes on the garden lawn, to dinner tastings under the stars or masterclasses led by CHANDON winemakers.
Stéphane de Meurville, Estate Director of CHANDON California, says, “Our new Home has a fluid, organic contemporary vernacular style that perfectly expresses CHANDON’s informal, spontaneous character.”
