Fluidity and lightness prevail at Dior Summer 2027 Women’s Show

Presented across a tree-lined basin, the new collection by Jonathan Anderson draws inspiration from nature. Mist imparts breath to movement, transparency and floral shapes resonate in clothes and accessories. Summery silhouettes embody an airy sensibility.

The technical virtuosity of Dior ateliers explores fresh facets of lightness. Tailleur is imagined as flou and air is treated almost as a material – an inherent part of lace, silk mousseline or organza. Stripes are followed by pleats and opacity slides to transparency. A dialogue with the heritage of the Maison is omnipresent. Flower-like shapes and iridescence reprise elements of the Autumn Winter 2026-2027 Collection. Sheer suiting and metallic pants echo the Summer 2027 Men’s Collection. The essence of archival pieces is revisited in new forms.

Scarves draped over the shoulder and cascading earrings introduce asymmetry. Shoes are enlivened with floral motifs. The distinctive sole of the Dior Cigale shoe is petal-shaped.  New versions of the Dior Double and Dior Initial Hobo in supple leather are joined by a biker-inspired bag with zipped pocket flaps and cannage stitching.  Playful mesh bags are customized with fringed silk scarves or clusters of sheer georgette petals. A silver-finish minaudière takes the form of a wénwán walnut – a nod to the Chinese tradition of hand-rolling the dried nuts to create a natural patina. A pair of the walnuts was sent with the show invitations, underscoring the essential contribution of nature’s beauty to Dior’s savoir-faire.
